Personally, i think that the idea is realy realy stupid. Not because of the price but the possiblity that i will be bored with the factions and the game but while felling unsatisfied with the other 2 factions. I just think that no one would like to buy the second and the third parts just to play the single player with the SAME goddamn factions...

Can we boycott them or something ? Who is with me?!

Personally, I was a little dissapointed to hear this. After letting it sink in, I'm really starting to rally behind it. Just thinking about how much more they can do with Starcraft 2 if they separate the games seems great if it comes at a price I can agree with. Also the fact that we will be seeing Starcraft 2 much sooner is good news too.

Listen, i couldent care less about the price...im just worried that ill be bored with all of the factions after the first part. It also means the last part will be out in something like 2-4 years. That will make the graphics realy outdated.

Personally I've been playing starcraft for years and years and the races still really interest me..I think with what they are doing with Starcraft 2 and the various approaches to each Starcraft campaign we are definitely not going to be bored by a certain format since each format is going to be different. I'm sure as each product is released new units, maps, and various other things will be released too..

i think its a good idea.

if its a really epic campaign i think it should be separated into separate parts to do it justice.... pushing all the campaigin into 1 part would be like fitting all the three lotr movies into one 3 hours movies :P

It's a good idea...

...but if it was EA's idea first, everybody would be pissed.

Depends on the pricing. Since each of those campaigns will have roughly the same mission count as all three of the campaigns in Starcraft 1 combined did.

First of all, each LOTR movie is 3 hours and its not like a game cause you dont have to play it from the beggining to the ending...you can stop whenever you want.

You'll see, ppl will start to lose interest after the first part.

if it was a case of only having 10 missions a piece and charging full whack for em then id be pretty pissed. but its 30+ missions a piece according to IGN. so i wouldnt feel ripped off by it.

it also give blizzard tons more room to experiment and develop ideas with each faction. also, at the end of the day, we probably wont be seeing a starcraft 3 until 2013-2014 (its blizzard after all) at the earliest...so there will be a crap load of starcraft to keep us going in the meantime.

i think it would be a bit better maybe if they told a piece of the story for all 3 factions and made it a trilogy. but overall i think its a good idea.

to know story and what is going on in the moive etc you still need to watch it from start to stop.

TA127

well then you should not buy the other two versions ... but since its being made by blizzard, i doubt it willl be so

I feel like they've betrayed those of us who have been playing SC since day 1 for over 10 yrs now...

I am sure that many will resort to piracy just to get Blizzard back for this awful decision. Everyone knows Blizz takes their time with development. Hell, there isn't even a release date for SC II.1 yet! If they just pushed their already non-existent release date back even half a year to a year, I would be content waiting for the best RTS of all time. I am sure many other would appreciate that and sit tight til release.

This will definitely alienate not only many of us who are part of Blizzard's hordes of fanboys, but will also turn off potential fans.

Shame, shame.

I honestly was a bit disappointed when they announced it, but I won't judge whether it's a good idea or not till the first game actually comes out.

If the campaign is REALLLLLLY good, then it's a good idea, and I'll be happy to buy all 3 games.

If it's just Starcraft's campaign only in 3D, then I'll complain and probably just stick with the Terran game.
