I know it will be released many moons after the announced released date. It's Blizzard, they're (in)famous for delaying. But Hell, I don't mind waiting another year if I get a true sequel to Diablo II, rather than a simply re hash a year early.
My bet goes for mid or late '09. WotLK will be released this year. And SC2 seems to be very "far" in progress so my bet for it goes for late '08 or early '09. After both are released they have enough employees to work on Diablo III. Especially the programmers of WoW are experienced in RPG's.
