XP Home Edition.
Someone ran one of these polls a week or 2 ago and the final results were surprisingly pretty even. Most posters made a comment that they're dualbooting XP and Vista. That's likely the route I'll take once I finally upgrade as I don't want to sacrifice XP's gaming performance and workspace efficiency. Just use Vista when a game requires it.
i have vista. and its kinda bad.
the only reason i really got it was for dx10, but i think it was little too early, because wow, i can play lost plant dx10, and its like NO difference. anyways a whole bunch of my older games dont run, and some run poorly.
also i tried GRAW2 and it just got ****ed up. as in the game. it just went all weird and like you couldnt see anything except a lot of yellow. anyways, the 8800gtx performs REALLY well on games that actually support it and vista.
I got Vista. I recently upgraded some stuff and I figured I would get Vista while I was there. It hates EA games. Go figureBirdofP
Or maybe it's the EA Games that hates Vista? Hmmm...
I use XP Home. I will undoubtedly upgrade to Windows Vista IF future game titles start coming out in the far future that are ONLY for Vista. Oh, and also if the bugs are all worked out of it. But yeah...the only real reason I would upgrade to Vista is if the games that started coming out were only available to Vista.

Eh doesn't matter either way I blame EA for sucking at life. Vista isn't bad it runs real well with the exception of EA games. Hell I can evenplay Starcraft. Of course you probably won't need it for a few more years I just got it at the store because I needed a new OS and figured I would save some money by skipping XP altogether
Vista no likey starforce (newer starforce probably works ok), so you might find some problems with those games, but overall, Vista isn't that bad (I have Vista on 2 machines, XP on the rest).
I heard vista dosnt support the 8 series that well? Why is that and when are the patches comng out?Cornerstore
I have a desktop running Vista Ultimate x64 with an 8800GTS, and it works great, no issues at all. Maybe what you were hearing about was with old drivers? There are problems with 7 series (notebooks) and Vista though.
Vista 64-bit. not a single problem so farprowler666
Same here, no complaints.
Can i say both? lol
At home i run linux, xp and vista. 1 linux desktop, 1 dedicated to xp, 1 dual boots vista and xp and my laptop runs vista
