I want afun game that is loooong,I want any recomendations. I was thinking about getting titan quest or marvel ultimate alliance but I wasnt sure how long they would be fun for. I have played ultimate alliance and I thought it could be a really fun game but I think the beat em up stuff might get boring pretty fast. Also my internet is slow, so if I got the orange box I wouldnt be able to play it, and I refuse to pay for online play so that narrows my options.I like rpgs but I also like to just jump into some action sometimes. I already have oblivion. Any genre is good and thanks to any one that answers!

My computer aint good enough for the witcher. Video card and cpu dont meet recommended requirements, and I dont like stuff that runs slow, ruins the game for me.

If your comp can handle it, Perhaps STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl?

Specs are helpful too...

I have a question(was gonna make a topic about it but since you brought it up, I'll ask here),I have a 8800gts 320mb video card, and e6600, and 4GB of ram. So should I be able to run stalker at max settings? I'm currently playing the game at 1024x768 with most things at around med-high settings and still get a lot of lag.

your pc's pretty good but not the best around. so it wouldn't be surprising if that's about as good as it gets for you. stalker's system requirements are pretty steep...

Thanks, I was a little shocked when I saw that I was only getting 30fps or lower with the settings I mentioned and having played crysis with almost all very high(xp very high)settings and getting around 30fps. Still fun and I'm not a complete graphicsjunkie so it's okay.

Well Titan Quest with Immortal Throne expansion will last a very long time, too long in my opinion. And like Diablo you can quit redo area for more experience to level.

well, stalker's system requirements are pretty steep, but not as steep as crysis, as far as i know. i have stalker but decided against getting crysis because my rig couldn't handle crysis at anything but low/medium. i run stalker at low too, but stalker's low looks far better than crysis' low. i have a d2.8, 8600gt, 1gb ram, so it's far worse than your rig, and i run stalker at low, 12x10, with decent framerate. so maybe you should be able to run stalker at max, especially at 10x8...

I think STALKER would probably run decently in static lighting (direct x8 ), but it wont look pretty. Not awful, but not good. Still definitely worth playing though. And it should last you quite sometime.

Definitely not normal for him to be getting that kind of performance. I run the game at about what he's running it at (about fifty-fifty mix of medium and high settings if I remember correctly) on the specs in my sig, and my framerate's fine throughout (occasional stutters, but that's it).

Yeah, i didnt think it was normal either. He should be pulling much higher fps then that.

Is any game worth the money? In the eighties I use to think if I got a hour of entertainment for every dollar spent playing the game, then it was worth it to me. Put in a lot of time from Pong to Pac Man. Now it's FPSs, Simulationsand RPGs. Only you can be the judge of what your time is worth.

Does it work with the steam version, also, are there any other ways I could try and improve performance.

Get Dreamfall:GOTY edition, if you like adventure titles. COmes packed with The Longest Journey(the first game in the series) and a great soundtrack. Your PC would definitely run TLJ well(its from 99) and Dreamfall shouldnt be a problem performance wise either.

Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines. 30 hours to complete (without doing nearly any side-quests). 5 endings. 7 completely different character "clans" that you can play the game with that all play the game differently. $20 on Steam.

Doing everything you possibly could your first time through could probably take upwards of 50 hours. I only rushed because I wanted to start a new character. One of the best games I've ever played and easily the best role-playing game I've ever played.
