i feel dirty for this....but...
any Final Fantasy game after 8, i just really like them and don't own a Sony console so i can never play them :(
agreedNone. Every console to pc port I've ever played has been a disappointment. I've come to understand that console gamers are more impressed with mediocrity then are pc gamers. Halo and Gears Of War great games? How high do you have to be to believe that?fenriz275I've been primarily a PC gamer since 1985 and I haven't owned a console since Playstation 1. However, I thoroughly enjoyed both of those games because they had different gameplay and some really fun components in them. Probably because I went into them with an open mind rather than "blech... another port... it gonna blow".
i would like to see some JRPG's on PC as i think they would be amazing, better graphics and none of the frame rate issues they all seem to suffer from these days. shutter_speedYes please. JRPGS on PC!!

Fenriz didn't phrase his point correctly, but I know exactly what he means so I will explain in more depth to help him out. What he means is that console games are of a markedly lower standard than PC games...that much is undeniable - from a PC Gamer's point of view. PC games tend to excel if they are in the RTS and RPG markets because complex base building + micromanagement, along with excellent storytelling and compelling gameplay is only found on the PC...it just suits the platform more. Consoles are explicitly for fun only, most games I bought when I owned a PS3 lacked any of the qualities I took for granted on the PC. MGS4 was the only title to blow my mind, but that I'm afraid is a masterpiece that will never be repeated again.
The reason why he wants no Console game to be ported to the PC...is because we don't need them. RPGs and RTS games are PC exclusive nearly 90% of the time when they are major titles (like Starcraft, Diablo, DoW and the Total Wars). We don't need more "run n gun" shooters with brainless protagonists like Marcus Fenix, we need more thought provoking dialogue like that from Geralt of Rivia.
Where Halo and Gears of War were mediocre on the PC, they kicked ass on the consoles because of the different mindset, and because I swear most the xbox 360 owners are kids...we don't need their games to be ported on our mature PCs.
eh killzone 2 i guess and meybe warhammer 40k: space marine too
if u want to go consol to console i would have killed to play urban chaos: riot response as a rail shooter with a light gun perhaps on the wii or in an arcade.
i want to see
1.one wwe game on PC
2.bayonetta
3.star wars force unleashed
4.one naruto game

6.re5
7.halo3

Thanks for the D Sol. I also mean that when a console gets ported to a pc it's trying to convince us that some kind of new revolutionary game element we've never seen is here. My brother was raving about Halo and the jump in and drive vehicles when Battlefield 1942 had already done that and for free a with demo. As for Gears of War? It a very generic game. A generic character on a generic battlefield with a generic backstory. I feel like that console developers are making games that might get them movie deals now rather than make fun games. The average free to play flash game is better than an average console game. I agree with Sol that most console gamers are for kids so they're easily impressed. I'd like it if console developers made better games because as a kid I never had the money to buy all the games I wanted for my Sega or my NES and now that I'm grown up and have the money the consoles have nothing for me. It's really their loss because I'm a gamer who as an adult has extra money and they aren't making games I want to play.
