[QUOTE="death1505921"]OEM silver media one. Does the job. I was thinking of an eclipse 2, but I think gaming KBs are pointless. Mice on the other hand...Elann2008
I was wondering if gaming KBs are better in terms of key response? I could care less about the macros and the backlighting. I just want a keyboard that has good key responses. What do you think?
the razer keyboards use the same ultrapolling in their mice in their keyboards which makes them faster and most allow for more simultaneus key presses
I use an old IBM Model M 1391401. As you can see, it's not what most would consider a gaming keyboard. There are no macro keys, there is no backlighting, and there definitely is no LCD. What does it have, then? Buckling-spring keys that feel awesome to type on, removable keycaps, and a generally durable design that lets these things last for far longer than your PC probably will. (Case in point-the one I'm using is 19 years old!) They aren't the cheapest boards out there-you'll probably pay 30-40 US$ or so (shipping included) to get one off of eBay, but it is quite affordable when compared to new mechanical keyswitch boards (70 US$ for a new Unicomp Model M, and 100+ US$ for other boards built on Alps or Cherry keyswitches, though even those are cheap compared to the 1500+ US$ Optimus Maximus).NamelessPlayer
Damn thats a hell of a life span for a keyboard, if it wasnt for me liking fancy lights and having a habit of changin things so often I might have got 1 of them, but for a plain standard keyboard thats the way to go.
And congrats you probably win the prize for the oldest keyboard in this thread lol
