what graphic card is good enough for counter-strike source?

You can play cs smoothly with just about any graphics card higher than geforce 6600 and like 512 ram.... However if you want good gaming overall that keeps good framerate i would recommend geforce 8800 gts.. Geforce is the only graphic card maker today thats any good regardless of what some fanboys say.

I have a geforce 8800 gtx and i can play every game out right now with a solid 60+ framerate.

But if it's cs you should worry more about your internet connection than graphic card.

My old ATi 9600se can run the game almost full graphics and smooth as butter.cametall

Well, if you want to know how much FPS you would get, you would have to tell us this:

1. How much RAM you have.
2. How fast your processor is.
3. What resolution are you running it at?
4. What detail settings are you running it at?
5. How much AA/AF?
6. etc, etc.

You'd better get 2 8800GTX's, it will cost you $5000, I know because I'm a console fanboy. You're better off getting a console and only paying $60 for games, you don't want to get into pc gaming, it'a too expensive, I know because I'm a console fanboy.

dude i wish i had right now 200$ - i've got only 100$ :( lol but anyway the 8800GTS 320Mb cost 200$ and it's great video card - my suggestion if you have 200$ - spend on it

the x1950pro on newegg is only $130

trust me you cant go wrong on this card. the only downside to it is its not dx10 but the only good dx10 card is 8800 but its to pricy...

hey guys.... everytime i play cs source... especially in dust2 wiht about 20 people in the server... cs freezes after 10 min of gameplay.... all of a sudden it just crashes and puts me onto desktop and says...

something like.. "Failed to lock vertex buffer Dmesh and so on..." has this ever happened to u? help me please its really pissing me off...
