Get a nice inexpensive but good Radeon 4670ferret-gamer

What is good about those 4670 I've seen a lot of people recommend them but they are more expensive and worse performance than a 9600GT. What gives?

They arent more expensive than a 9600GT, if you count rebates you can get 4670 for $50

4670 is generally cheaper, and will work with most power supplies.

Performance is a poor though. 9600GT is almost recommended minimum these days.

They don't and I don't see that being recommended here though. I do see comparable prices and products with the 4670 and 9600gt though. The 9600GT is by far the better product performance/price ratio.

Yes it probably is, but doesn't the 9600gt require a better PSU? Also, if he doesn't upgrade his CPU something less than a 9600GT is probably warranted, unless hes planning to upgrade that soon.

PSU stands for power supply, the little box the powers up your pc.Also,at that price range,I'd recommend at least a 9800gt(goes for around $140),and could save up for a better processor to keep up with it.

You could get an HD4850 and x2 6000 for around $200, but that is assuming PSU can handle it.

I upgraded from onboard graphics, the PSU is a Thermal Take 500w PSU. THen I got a 8800 GT it run all games and programs. I can run crysis at med settings, and all other games on high or max settings. So it would be a good for you to get that card.

if you upgrade your cpu crysis will run on high settings as for the tc I'd get a 9600gt or 9800gt depending on budget.

My brother has that same X2@ 2.2G coupled with a 8800gts (g92) and a cheap 20 buck 500w(12v rail @ 26amp) power supply, and i have tested it and it runs crysis at high on a 21" screen(cant remeber the rez) with fraps showing 25-40 fps (edit/ forgot average 35fps)spikes during battles. Your processor is good enough for either a 9600gt or 8800gt/9800gt.
