so far as i can tell, the material changes are mostly subtle -- the real overhaul is the game performance.
usually i wouldn't recommend buying a game twice....but Enhanced Edition is really worthy of a 2nd buy. open the box and i guarantee you would feel the satisfaction immediately. :D
I'm getting this soon! Can't wait, because I missed the Witcher when it was first released and held off for this.
Though I also want to get BIA: HH and a Crysis: Warhead Advent Calendar.
[QUOTE="JnWycliffe"]how's the voice acting and the script? has it been changed at all from the original?-Origin-
They re recorded every single piece of voice acting and dialogue in the game :D
nice! thanks for the info.
I'll probably buy it when it's a little cheaper. I already played the original version.
The increased performance, shorter loading times, and the extra area & quests are what appeal to Herrick the most.

if you own the original, i believe you can download the enhanced patch or something for free.

I found this video on Youtube.

Definitely some improvements made there. Notice the voice of the young Witcher, whatever his name was? He sounded like a wimp before. I just hope they improve on Triss. God, she was painful to listen to sometimes (luckily, most of the voice-acting in the game was more bearable than that and sometimes even excellent). So much so that I tried to download that mod that changed the voice-acting to Polish with English subtitles, but the subs too often didn't stay on-screen long enough and I kept missing lines :P, so I just put up with the occasional bad English dialogue.
i put off buying the witcher when i heard about the e.e.
can't wait for it, haven't seen it here yet in blighty though.

You better be able to download it for free. I Think PC debs are going try to do what console devs do and start charging us for things that were normally free like patches and map packs. :(

Last I heard (couple months back), it is a FREE download. So again...

When? Now. Where? The Witcher website. Link? Here ;). You have around 1.5 gb to download from what they say (I'm waiting for the Enhanced Edition which will be released in about 2 weeks in my country :(, so I can't tell you exactly how much you have to dl).

Thanks.
Unfortunately the servers are very SLOW, and the downloads fail after various amounts of time. :(
Downloaded and installed everything and...
Enhanced indeed. Although the voice acting should have have been this good from the start. What a difference it makes. Triss is even hotter now. And I was so good in the sack, she gave me a "Get some free sex" card. :)
its a great update. i downloaded it all and plonked it on a disc (and found out that my rewriter doesent support lightscribe :( )., then plonked that in my witcher box.
i have one niggeling problem though...the games graphics gets a little fuzzy after a conversation. i know about the depth of field option and i have made very sure its off. no difference. i tried a few suggestions at the witcher forum also...but it didnt really help. hopefully a driver update or a patch will rectify it.
overall though...very happy with it. translation is much better and there loads of nice little touches. everythign feels more polished overall too imho.
