I read a reveiw recentley that said Crysis was the real Sequel to Far Cry (which i agree with) and i wondered what is the better Game the Next gen Nano Suit Shooter Crysis or the African open world Shooter Far Cry 2.neyney23
I choose Crysis. far cry 2 had soem issues I disliked such as the short amount of time it took for guards to respawn at guard stations as well as having repetitive missions.
Far Cry 2 runs fantastic for how great it looks but everything else in the game is rubbish. Crysis is better in every way apart from the system requirements.
If it weren't for the constantly respawning guards and overly repetitive missions, I'd prefer Farcry 2. But Crysis is still superb.
Both sucked IMO.
Crysis was so boring with a really bad story and the only fun level was the Tank one, the rest of the game sucked and they learnt nothing from the Mistakes of Far Cry and the game they ripped off Halo because they still ruined it with Aliens at the end.
Far Cry 2 just got on my nerves cause I was being chased by people in a car every 5 seconds and it's like OMG THIS AINT FUN!
Just play Half-Life.

Nope but Crytek took heavy inspiration from Halo and I'm making a point that two thirds of the way through Bungie ruined Halo with the Flood. Crytek did the same thing with Far Cry and they still didn't learn anything by them two games with Crysis.

I guess you have a point there. Still I liked the alien sections of Crysis, maybe not as much as the first six levels though.

I felt the same way about Half-Life. It was great up until you entered Xen, and then Valve turned a great FPS into a laborious platform-jumping puzzle game. I had to force myself to finish it, and the end battle was...well, godawful tbh. So they all had problems. :P
Crysis, no contest. Far Cry 2 is not the game we were promised, it's a solid old-school shooter, very repetative but good for what it is.
Crysis is up there with the best shooters ever. I prefered it to warhead. You can play the game how you want. I played it as a stealth game, it was so satisfying cloaking around and popping Korean bonces with my guns on single shot :D

If you say you don't like the game, that's fine. If you start a list of things you don't like about it that are just lies, grossly exaggerated minor faults or the result of ignorance, then it's not ok.
Crysis. Far Cry 2 was balls. 1. No lean, in a shooter? 2. No prone, in a shooter? 3. 10 bullets to the head is not enough. 4. Coloured road signs to tell you where to go? 5. Weapons jam every 5 minutes 6. Cars break down every 5 minutes 7. Cars can go from 60mph to 0 in half a second 8. Two warring factions have offices across the street from each other. 9. Diamonds can be found in suitcases on top of buildings all over Africa and they have built in GPS. 10. When you shoot 10 people at a checkpoint, return in 2 minutes they'll all be alive again. 11. You can only save at safehouses, ok I'll ignore the F5 key, and I always pull the plug on my computer in the middle of saves. 12. Malaria 13.Enemies jump in a car to chase you even though you're only 50 yards away. 14. Animals are wooden 15. A phone can ring in the middle of a jungle looking for people to do a job. 16. Convoys will travel in a circular pattern until you blow them up, if you miss first time round don't worry they'll give you another chance. I'm bored now. couly
add to that list the ultra tedious driving (no fast travel?), the lack of stealth and eagle eyed enemies who spot you from a mile away and chase you to the death, the lack of anyone actually fighting in this so called "warzone" apart from against you, everyone wants to kill you yet walk into a bar, see someone and suddenly theyre now your best buddy, the fact once you complete the first stage you have to go do all the same things again in a slightly different new area... the list goes on and on...
i can not remember playing for a spell of more than 5 mins without something really annoying happening. for me it simply wasnt fun
imo crysis obliterates it

It always makes me laugh when people think you have to fight at every guard post - figuring out how to get past them with minimal fighting is part of what makes the game fun. If you can't figure it out - that's not the game's fault.
Anyway - Far Cry 2 is the better game.
Also - almost everything couly listed isn't true. If someone has to lie about a game to make it look bad - that probably means it's a good game.

No, I like Crysis more, but I'd recommend both to anyone. And Stalker too.

And calling people hermits is? Please, there is nothing wrong with what people are saying, here. Many have said it was boring and if to them it was that way then you cant dispute that opinion. But name calling is just pointless.[QUOTE="shalashaska88"]

The Flood in Halo was excellent and very well done. That part of the game was very memorable for a lot of people. And Crysis is nothing like Halo. The only similarity they have is that they have aliens in the game. And calling people hermits is? Please, there is nothing wrong with what people are saying, here. Hermits is the official nickname of the PC fans on Gamespot. I'm a hermit too, but I'm not angry, grumpy or pretending that I'm living in a postapocalyptic (or better said postconsolistic) PC world.
Regarding the aliens in Crysis - they look like the sentinels from Matrix. The giant walkers look a lot like that spider from Wild Wild West!
hmm, none of them really impressed me all that much, Crysis is a Solid FPS game, the engine however impress me.
It is so steriotypical its painful at times.
Farcry 2, has a solid game engine, runs very well, and requires very little, but that game is not solid at all, the tech is really good, but gameplay is so damn horrible It annoyied me, the first game ever to do that... replaying 5 missions 70 times or so... very very... bland... borring...
So Crysis ^^ I might not like it as much as alot of other people, but lets be honest, Minesweeper is more exiting then Far Cry 2
Well i dont know i mean i played crysis and i had fun but the innacuracy of the wepons pissed me off alot, i like games that are more oldschool instead of innacurate. I enjoyed crysis and then i played warhead and i was deathbored because for some reason, however i enjoeyed far cry 2 so much more, i actually thought it was short and not repttive enough i wanted it to be even more repettive....anyway thats my guiltiy pleasure i guess.
However its kinda funny that people say stuff like "too much driving" when the driving is very easy and fast, unlike boiling point, or things "like the guns sound weak and they are very weak plus they jam all the time" Thats ironic because in far cry 2 the worst weapons are the pistols and still they are more powerfull than the ones in salker clear sky:lol:
Also in clear sky the weapons sound much weaker and it takes tons of ammo to kill someone, also the weapons in far cry 2 jam sometimes but in clear sky if you pick up a weapon from an enemy it will jam before you even manage to fire 3 rounds, sometimes they jam without even firing a single bullet
I am just saying its kinda ironic Another thing is that the game is more oldchool, there are not stuff like innacuracy and prone because they are not needed, to kill an enemy you got use full auto just like the gameplay videos All the weapons are diffirent, some are accurate adn weak so you can put more rounds to a target and some are less accurate but they cause more damage, i like the way it has an armory and you got to use the right weapon for the job, or just like ubisoft said "we make weapons for all player types" I just wanted to clarify those because this game gets alot of hate :(
But seriously i can belive those who claim they cant headshot, if you aim properly and fire a single shot and not auto to someone's head he will go down. If not then make sure you did not miss.

Yes, Crysis is the true sequel to Far Cry, but I'd still say the original Far Cry is the better game.
Between Crysis and FC2.....Crysis
Playing Far Cry 2 nearly put me into a coma. The combat was repetitive and unexciting, as was driving around everywhere. There's also the horribly design decisions, like the whole "malaria" thing and the fact that people on your side still shoot at you because you're "undercover" or whatever.
Crysis on the other hand is an awesome game. The nanosuit is a simple concept but works extremely well, and it's just so much fun either blowing stuff up or sneaking around and silently taking people out.
