I'm really twitchy so installing the CPU and plugging in some of the headers (power, reset, usb, sound, etc) can be really annoying.
Hey guys, I just wanna know what u guys found difficult when you build your own computers When I built my computer, the most trouble I had was connecting the power switches/lights/audio/usb/sata cabling of the case to the motherboard. it was hard to fit in the small wiring pieces and also i had to check the colors of the wires and twisted or straight. Everything else went quite smoothly. tell us your building difficultiesfishing666
This definetly, so hard to plug in those 8 or so really small cables at front/top of case. They really need to make a better system to make it easier.
Well i'd probably have to say I spent the most time on cable management. But installing the processor was certainly nerve wrecking lol, holding that 280$ I7 between my fingers. Took a fair amount of pressure to lock down the arm too which made me a bit uncomfortable.
CPU and heatsink - just feels so goddamn fragile when you're doing it, even though I'm sure it can take more abuse than I dished out.DJ_LaeThe old ones can take a lot but i'm not so sure about modern ones. You could throw a Pentium 1 across the room and it would still work perfectly. The hardest part were the heatsinks, both Intel's pushpins and Thermalright's torsion bars are a real pain.
You'ld have hated my old Semprons, if you installed it as the manual said you'ld have broken half the pins :lol:Well i'd probably have to say I spent the most time on cable management. AMD's stock CPU heatsink feels like you're putting about 10x as much force on it than the processor should be able to tolerate. Thats about the only thing that was difficult with my latest build.ProudLarry
Exactly the same here. That little lever on the side didn't even feel like it needed to be closed, there was no way that thing was coming off if it was closed or not. But I eventually closed it, and I totally thought it was gonna break
