What is Starcraft?

What is Starcraft? I bought it from a tag sale for $3 and I want to know if it's good and what it's about, what kind of game it is and all that.

What's the point of asking about a game you've already bought for 3$. Might as well try it out for yourself. Or google it.

A somewhat out dated RTS(12 years old?), but none the less it is a very good game, especially fun to play with friends on lan. Also, the graphics are not very good by today's standards, but the gameplay is very well balanced and it is a great game. I still play it too.
