There are plenty of games which are released to date. Somebody says Supermario is the most hard, somebody says X-2: Wolverine. Among all of the games which one do you think is the hardest? My choice is: Driver 3 What about yours?
I have to confine this to a genre. The genre I've played most is the RPG genre (a notoriously easy genre, to be sure). The hardest RPG I've played would probably be Beyond the Beyond for the original Playstation. It had some hellishly difficult puzzles that pushed me to the limits of my patience. That said, it wasn't a particularly great game. Not even in my top 5.
starcraft: brood war.. i'm not a great rts player to begin with and i had to restart those last couples of missions in the campaign many, many, many times..
SoF: payback.. the man who finishes that game on hrdest without cheating is a genius with mad skillz.. cause the enemy ai is to smar and the allied is to stupid.
Ah, I guess I'll give my hardest PC game rather than a console game. Company of Heroes kicked my ass. I think I'm an above-average RTS player and generally a skilled gamer overall, but COH was extremely difficult. Moreover, I'd be lying if I blamed the interface, controls, etc. for the difficulty; the game just had very deep strategy and required the player to be decisive. Definitely knocked my ego down a notch. ;]
Surprisingly enough mine was always Zelda: A Link to the Past. After I completed the Light World and got the Master Sword, I would always get stuck early on into the Dark World. Finally after about twelve years of on again off again playing. I finally beat it.
Operation Flashpoint. It's very difficult and not user-friendly at all. My military knowledge is based on Michael Bay, so I often had no idea what was going on.
Really? Wasn't that hard of a game, unless you're talking about the impossible race mission. I used the patch for that, and even after putting the difficutly on easy it was a little bit difficult.

far cry on realistic difficulty which is ironically named as its not realistic but extremely hard and with no built in quick saving it becomes a chore if it had quick save no problem i got through doom 3 on the hardest difficulty by quick saving after monster encounter :P.

3.I would say Ninja Gaiden Sigma, but it's beatable, just frustrating in doing so. The above two, I cannot beat.

The strange thing is that I really loved the game too. I never beat it, but I did get to the Bond-type film which I think is the last one, I just. can't. beat it.
I don't know if a lot of people played it, but the precision was so demanding, and almost luck based in some areas. Like hitting a flying microlite with a snowmobile after a level of insane difficult stuff.

Shinobi on PS2, it starts off quite easy, simply assasin missions but as you continue through the games you produce different weapons and guards for the different factions you have to fight against/for and it becomes increasingly hard to even finish an assasination mission

I suck at Thief...Can't even finish the second mission XD Hardest game I've ever played though was probably...Lost Planet. Or Devil May Cry 3. I'll be your tutor!!
