Why isn't it horror to you? because it isn't scary. It can be horrific without being scary. Just because it didn't have an effect on YOU doesn't change the genre.

Uncanny can be frightening. There is often an expectation for horror just to be how many times we can have a boo-scary moment. according to codemned only few are necessary as long as the atmosphere and gameplay are scary.in condemned 2 bloodshot it always scared me every minute and it's ten times more scarier than condemned.

Going by that logic Oblivion is a horror game since one of the enemies you fight are undead skeletons....
Well to an extent it probably is. I mean you are opening the gates of hell essentially. I get what you're saying: perhaps the horror elements have to be consistent throughout though.

Penumbra series. I got to like 10 minutes into black plague (just after the first set of visions) and when i was supposed to hide in the shadows from whatever they are my adrenelene was pumping. It scared me too much:cry:
