My favorite PC racing game is Race Driver Grid.
How about your one?

ARCA Sim Racing, rFactor and GTR2 and GT Evolution. Ran all the Papyrus racing games since the early 90's right up to Nascar 2003. Nascar 2003 can not hold a candle to the the sims I mentioned earlier. Real Physics as opposed to feeling like you are driving on ice is always better. :)
As for driving GAMES I like Dirt 2 and Grid. But I don't play them much. I am to busy in racing leagues :)

Same here, I've had the most fun with GRID.
To be fair to DiRT 2 though, I don't think I've played enough of it yet compared to GRID. Burnout Paradise is kind of cool, but while not looking for a true sim by any means, BP plays too far on the arcade side of racing than I prefer.
It has a Huge player base, and it gets super addicting.
TrackMania Nations Forever
^^Thats the direct link to it, its a free game, so hey, why not try if you havent, right? :)
It also can be a VERY competitive game, so it's part of the addicting reason. But also makes it very rewarding. I take breaks from time to time from it, but I always come back and love it just as much as if I never left.
Below is a link to show part of how crazy good some people can get(this is not me). This is for the nadeo white tracks, the first SP tracks you'll see once you load the game up. Also gives a few pointers, so definitely a good watch for begginners or people that have been playing a while.

i played this about 2 years ago, is still pretty good game, now i just got bored of it.
I hated Grid, I kept on crashing into the walls and my car broke down. I don't like racing games, it may affect my real life driving.face_ripper
Then by all means stay away from Carmageddon, GTA and the likes :P

Ah, yeah, can't say its a game everybody will love. But have you tried going online? Thats where most of the fun/addictiveness is because of all the custom maps. It's pretty much endless of possibilities with maps.
Even offline this site>>http://tmnforever.tm-exchange.com/ has tons and tons of custom maps.
Ofc Ofc, sometimes even out of the endless amount of maps, I can see where it can get boring since its all one, closed environment. But I simply can't stay away from the game.
NFS: ShiftGooeykatI've been considering getting it. How does it compare in realism to GTR, Gran Turismo, or Forza? While I like semi-arcade style racers such as DiRT, I prefer sims.

I also tried that before, is fun to do that, also getting cars from Trackmania-carpark website.[QUOTE="Gooeykat"]NFS: ShiftmouthforbathoryI've been considering getting it. It's a bastard son, it ain't as realistic as sims, and it ain't as arcadey as titles like GRID, I don't like how the game handles, seriously.
