What PC-related stuff did you get for the holidays?

My dvd burner is broken so I picked up a replacement, and I got a 4GB thumb drive on impulse, since I've never owned a thumb drive before.

My five years old and counting CRT started flashing green on-and-off today of all days, so I might be treating myself to a TFT in the sales. Good thing too, I've been wanting to get a smaller monitor - something with a max resolution of less than 1600x1200... putting too much strain on my GPU.

Will probably also grab a copy of CoD4 when the shops open up again.

I got a Plantronics Audio 510 headset, and I'm loving it. Nice mids and lows, but the highs seem a bit lacking. No-one has complained about the mic either, so I'll count that as good also.

Got a notebook cooler for my lappy.

And, got a new case for my lappy.

All in all, good haul.

Thinking of getting a G9, as my MX518 is dying. Good idea? Or would it be a better idea to get a G7?

We probably don't live in the same country - I'm English... but most shops over here cut their prices after Christmas, everyone's spending the cash and gift vouchers they got at Christmas, and all the shops want to compete.

If America - or wherever you live - is the same, just shop around. You'll probably find it cheap somewhere.

But no, sorry, I don't know of any specific deals anywhere.
