Okay I just bought Crysis today, and am about to try it, and it looked okay on the sp demo, but I want it to look even better.

Here's my specs:

Intel Pentium D 3.0Ghz Dual Core

3GB ddr2 Ram

Geforce 7600GT 256mb Ram

by the way the computer's 3Dmark06 score is 3152 if that helps.

Now This is the card I want:

http://www.bfgtech.com/bfgr86512gtoc2fe.aspx

It's for 230 plus tax (canadian) at my local staples. Is it worth 230 and can it play crysis, plus future games at very high settings or high at least. I'm willing to get something else, but I'd rather not spend more then 350.

QUESTION 2

This is for my brothers computer:

He has a Geforce 5200 PCI, and I was thinking of him getting a Geforce 6200 PCI, for 150 bucks, is it worth 150 and how much performance does he get, all he plays is WoW and I feel bad for him when this is his favourite game, and he can't play it properly, it looks horrible. His specs are:

Geforce 5200 256mb ram

Intel celeron or centron 2.6Ghz (it's a desktop btw, I can't remember the exact name)

1GB of ddr ram

-Worth getting a 6200 or should he get ram, that's his only 2 options for his computer.

PLEASE HELP ME please, I will thank you forever

Adding an 8600gt with computer won't improve preformance significant'y due to your processor, your processor will bottleneck your system badly... If you are getting a 8600gt, you will probably be able to play on medium at most. If you are going to get a card, get an 8800gt, but then you will need to upgrade your processor as well.

And for the second question, It would increase preformance significantly, but beware that a Celeron isn't a gaming processor at all. I don't know if the Celeron will actually play WoW as if you had a P4 and that graphics card. Also that and PCI card is siginifcantly slower.

Okay, well my geforce 7600gt does play it on medium, and for question two he is playing wow at around 10-15 fps lol.

But yeah, I'm planning on upgrading my pc in 2008 for sure. And I'm getting quad core too, think it'll help the performance?

Should I jsut hold out on a graphics card till 2008?

What I am trying to say is, the 8600 is a mid-range mainstream card, and 7600 isn't much of an upgrade from it. Either, you can get an 8800gt, which is a huge leap, or I would wait. If you want to max out Crysis, then you will need to wait.

And I am suprised, my 7800gt and AMD 4000+ aren't, well... I haven't tried medium yet, considering low runs at about 40 FPS.

Your C.P.U is slow on the first rig and that second rig can't play Crysis.roulettethedog

He was talking about WoW for the second rig.

Wow, maybe I should check my fps, cause I know it's not super smooth, but not real choppy either. Still thanks, and I'll think I will wait, but for my bro, he can't wait anymore. I need to upgrade his computer for real cheap, only 300 budget for him. Next year my budget is unlimited.

The 9250? Well if it's better I guess I'll have to learn ATI cards for my bro, I have much more experience with Nvidia, but I want the best pci card he can get.

Also, I was looking into my processor, and its a pentium d 930 editon or whatever, but anyways, it says its very easy to overclock, and can be OC'd to a very high clock speed. Is it true, and think I should do it.

BTW, my processor's temputure while playing games is 30-35 C.
