Quest for Glory 1 (Hero's Quest) wasn't the first game I played, but it definately was the game that made me a PC gamer. Think I was around the same age.

Me too, Those dos based games from sierra made me a PC gamer, and still am today.
I'm not sure if this was my very first PC game, but the first PC game I remember playing was Age of Empires. I'm pretty sure I was 6-7 when my brother got it for his birthday.
Not sure which was the first, I remeber titles like Kings Quest 1, Ancient Art of War, Space Flight all in glorious 3 RGB colours.. Until we got a awesome EGA monitor! 16 colors at once!!
Close Combat : A bridge too far when I was six, I also played a few adventure games like Myst and one of the Oregon Trail games before then. But Close Combat is what opened my eyes to pc gaming.
My first PC game was Leisure Suit Larry In The Land of Lounge Lizards in 1988. I was 8 and I learned the hard way that you're going to die if you: a) don't use a condom b) try to leave a taxi without paying c) walk in traffic So I guess it was pretty educational.
The very first game I played on a PC was that snake game that nokia put on their phones a few years back. The computer was an original BBC Compact. It was too long ago so I cant remember how old I was.
But the first proper game that really got me hooked was the original Doom, I was scared s***less but couldn't stop. After that one of the sim city titles, not sure which one though. Man do I feel old all of a sudden!
The first game I ever played was Wheel of Fortune on this old PC that only put out green pixilated graphics. I was 4 or 5 at the time. The first game that got me hooked to PC gaming was Starcraft when I was ten. I played through that game at least ten times.
