Whats better than oblivion, any game either stradegy, rpg or fps

Most other RPGs. :|

...and you can't compare which games are better across different genres. Strategy games are totally different from FPS games, etc.

Honestly, Oblivion for me is just another rpg. Even the "AMAZIN OMFG" graphics aren't that fantastic and require much more than they should.

*chuckles* Yeah. I did get a lot of enjoyment out of Oblivion. It's fun to a point. But, to me it just amounts to a 3d hack-n-slash in the end. Not that that's a bad thing. Like I say, it's pretty fun in parts. But as an rpg, there are better games out there.

Its predessecor, Morrowind for one. Except for graphics, voiced dialogue, combat,and mapmarkers, Morrowind was bigger, better, and more immersive in every way.

How can you compare strategy and RPG?

Morrowind was better IMO.

ToEE was better in my opinion (even with the worse graphics, and the turn-based fighting system)

Most any other game. I thought Oblivion was as boring as watching grass grow.

Alot of people bash oblivion without any reason. See how many people in this thread have given any reasons to hate it besides "it sucks"... I think that oblivion is one of the best rpg's of all time. And it probably has the biggest gaming mod scene going on.Pessu

Most people that bash oblivion(Including me0 have given their appropriate reasons for hating the game countless times and just don't feel like explaining themselves each time another oblivion thread shows up. There are seriously a whole slew of reasons why oblivion just isn't that great of a game. It would definitely get my most overrated game of all time award.

I usually don't like RPG'sand I loved Oblivion, so Oblivion is probably the best RPG on PC so far.
Oblivion is a big world with not only eye-candies but a great gameplay and story.
There won't have any better RPG than this one before a long time.

Aren't you just asking a question that is based solely on opinion? What is the point?

If you said something that was more with proof, like what has a bigger world, has better graphics, or something it may make more sense.. But just asking what's better is totally based on opinion.

I honestly love Oblivion... But I also love Kingdom Hearts for PS2, and World of Warcraft. Morrowind was cool, but I liked Oblivion more for whatever reason. Diablo 2 was fun for awhile...

People are saying you can't say what's better between different strategy, FPS, or RPG's because they are different games, but that is bull crap. You can say anything is better, since "better" is comparable only to your own opinion about how much fun you had with a game.

I wouldn't say they are better... But Half-Life: The Orange Box is an excellent compilation of games, along with Enemy Territory, Bioshock, S.T.A.L.K.E.R, and F.E.A.R. are all excellent FPS.

Honestly, it's all about what you have more fun with. I don't really like to personally pick favorites, I just have a lot of fun. If you want a huge world of explore, great gameplay, tons of stuff to do, quests, and some story to boot, then Oblivion for the PC is a great choice, especially with all of the mods out there for it.

If you want an RPG filled with an amazing story like a final fantasy or Kingdom Hearts game, then you may want to look elseware, maybe into Knights of the Old Republic or something if you want an older game.

Age of Empires 3, Supreme Commander, World in Conflict, and Command and Conquer are all excellent Strategy games.

Also, Hellgate London is coming out, which looks really cool for an action rpg... So you may want to check that out.

And Stalker: Shadow Of Chernobyl is a pretty good game its like a open world Fps where you can loot corpses and do a decent amoun of missions.

Only a little biased.... Oblivion is good imo... but to answer the question.. hmmmmmmmmm, hmmmmmm... um, i would say Diablo 2... lol im serious. Morrowind. Neverwinter nights if your into that. Loki if you absolutely love the settings of that game cuz frankly thats the best things going for Loki.. still a ok game though. O, and i dont suggest the opinion the guy put above... ive tried it cuz i thought it would be better than World in Conflict... i was wrong, but not by far.... There, ive showed my fanboyism against the worst RTS ive played WiC.... im not lying.

that is if your strictly speaking rpgs. otherwise there are an s-load of excellent games from other genres... orange box, bioshock, stalker, world in conflict, company of heroes are all 9+ in my book.
