I'm guessing that's download speed, and yes I would say at this point of time, that not considering that fast would be crazy and spoiled.

Well don't feel too bad. We're all trailing countries like Japan or Korea. I'm pretty sure the average in Korea is over 20mbps.

As of february 08, the average speed was almost 3 Mb/s. In no way impressive, but still a lot faster than the speed in other developing counties like Uganda, Zaire and Burma. Looks like the UK is ready to step into the brave new world :P

No, it's much better in Korea. They no longer measure bandwidth in mbps, it's all in gbps, connections in the hundreds of mbs are common.

I saw on TV that most people in korea have over 1000Mbps! WOO UK at like 5 average!
