whats the best AM3 socket motherboard?

I`m looking at what motherboard to get for AM3 socket and was wondering if this one is the best

If you are not planning on doing SLI, you could go with a Gigabyte MA-770T UDP3. I am using it and was able to also unlock the 4th core on my Phenom II 720 BE. Also it was pretty cheap with all the features that I wanted and supports up to 16GB DDR3 Ram up to 1666+ speeds. I think it's like $80 at Newegg.

If you are not planning on doing SLI, you could go with a Gigabyte MA-770T UDP3. I am using it and was able to also unlock the 4th core on my Phenom II 720 BE. Also it was pretty cheap with all the features that I wanted and supports up to 16GB DDR3 Ram up to 1666+ speeds. I think it's like $80 at Newegg.afmsquid

yea ive been looking and saw that theres no performance differences between 770-790 because im not planning on doing any crossfire/raid/etc. i was thinking about tgetting the gigabyte but read the north bridge gets hot. have you had any problems?

I dont know too many ppl that can do this on a Phenom II....3.6ghz at less than stock voltage...stock is 1.35. Msi GD70

Haven't had any problems with the Northbridge at all. The board itself is built with quality components. Also, if you are concerned about the Northbridge, just switch out the heatsink that comes with it for a better one. Other than that, I would say it's the best bang for your buck, oh, and the audio on it is excellent.
