What's the best RTS that I should go with, like, what is the most fun?

Strategy is a very diverse genre, so its hard to pin down "the best". But a few suggestions:

Traditional: Red Alert 2

City Builder: Dawn of Discovery/Anno 1404

Empire Builder: Rome: Total War

Small Scale/Tactical: Company of Heroes

different games. SC, you build a horde of units and play the big scale destruction game with enemies; with CoH, you command serveral squads and employ battlefield tactics.

personally I like CoH.

Search up Sins of a Solar Empire (PC Game of the Year 2008 from IGN) and World in Conflict

Love both those games

there are demos for both; try them out first see which one you prefer or you end up liking both,

Starcraft, Company of Heroes, Rome Total War, Sins of a Solar EMpire

No doubt about it.

Going pretty old school here; Diablo II, WarCraft III are two of my favorites. Whereas going for Civilization IV when I'm extremely bored.

since when is Diablo 2 a RTS?

the empire mangement in Total War games is turn base, but at least its battle is real-time; Civilization series is full turn base strategy game.

Dawn of War II and Company of Heroes are excellent. Buy them right now.

Starcraft is a classic and one of the best games to date, but MP is incredibly noob hostile since you're fighting guys on BNET with years of experience. If you're patient you should wait for SC2.

Red Alert 1. Learn basic CnC armored warfare with that game.

Warcraft 3: Greatsingleplayer and ladder matches are always a blast (Undead beat all). You can also download and learn to play DOTA, play tower defense games, and hundreds of other mods.

Why isn't this thread named "Should I get Supreme Commander or Company of Heroes"?

Supreme Commander and Company of Heroes are two of my most favourite RTS games of all time. Their experiences are completely different though, SC is on a massive scale while CoH is very focused and tactical. They're both fantastic games and you can't go wrong with either.

Get Empire Total War ( it's totaly fixed with the latest 1.4 patch ) and Company of Heroes . Does 2 games will last you for a LONG time !
