Taking the US purchase price of the internal components at the time I bought them instead of what I actually paid, my tower costs around $800.
Monitor was $320, speakers were $100 and headphones were $130. Mouse, keyboard and 2 gamepads make it around $100.
So total is around $1450.
Hmm well these are appoximates of what the parts costed when I bought them, but I got a lot of deals. For everything including monitor/kb/mouse/speakers about $2000 to $2100.
My current build is costing me a little under $600
I'm planning on buying:
BIOSTAR A770E3 AM3 Motherboard
G.SKILL 4GB 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10600)
AMD Phenom II X4 840 3.2GHz Processor
Microsoft Windows 7Home Premium64-bit
GeForce GTX 460 1GB (might buy today!)
I already have:
Cooler Master Centurion 5 II case
Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB
Antec 520W Power Supply
If you include the monitor It'll be over or around $700.
My current rig totals to about $1350 including monitor, speakers, keyboard (razer lycosa), and mouse.
$200, which was put towards a 460 GTX and 600W OCZ PSU. Rest of the parts were free(which is why they aren't great)
My current items, date I got them and the prices I paid:
Total cost = $1561.92 over the course of about 28 months.
I have no need to upgrade anything in the near future, but the idea of getting a new GPU (or two) is always fun and a possibility if I ever get any money. If you break it down over 28 months, I paid about $55.73 a month for my currnet build.
