When i first got Fallout 3, it ran smooth as butter on Ultra High

But now three months later it runs like crap on High, have to put it on Medium to get preformance i want. :D. I defragmented and scaned for viruses. I have 100gigs free space where Fallout is installed and on the other disk i have about 20 free space. Any oppinions? :(

Have 4 gigs ram. q6600, GTX 260 and Vista 64.

also, what AA are you trying to run.

although it might be drivers, or the game itself (so many bugs and what not).

You could try whatever you had before or update to the lastest nvidia186.18 (64bit vista)

I use my gaming PC for porn but I reformat every 3 months. I've been usingVista Ultimate retail (paid a lot for it) for as long as it's been out and have never activated it. I refuse to have to speak to someone in India to get an activation code. Porn and PC games RULE!

could be your graphics card needs a good cleaning out. i noticed performance in certain demanding games like crysis had dipped considerably and i couldnt work out what it was so i took out my 8800gtx, took it apart and there was tons of dust clogging it up on the inside that normal cleaning couldnt have reached. put it back together again and voila problem solved happy days

Clean out the dust from your computer.

Now use a registry cleaner like ccleaner to get rid of all the crap that clings to your computer like uninstalled programs and Internet files etc.

when that is finished defragment and scan disk all of your drives.

Do that a couple of times and the performance will greatly improve.

scan for clutter on your pc, with a malware scanner, spyware scanner, and anti virus scanner.
