ratings don't mean anything. IGN and Gamespot reviews are terrible.sexygirl6t9

Skyrim imo won't even come close to a 9.5.....I hope Skyrim gets a 10 on PC, and 8.5 on Consoles...............*sigh* the rage would be oh so sweet.

I believe the highest-rated PC game is Diablo, with a 9.6 under the old system.[QUOTE="topsemag55"][QUOTE="KurnSonOfMogh"]
Even games that got 10s on other platforms fail to get a 10 on PC (GTA4).
Have no PC games been worthy of a 10/10? Surely some have. Why not StarCraft II or Half Life 2? Two extremely well optimized games with excellent graphics and incredibly fun campaigns... PC games have been reviewed on GameSpot since the mid 90s... while Wii, PS3 and Xbox 360, which are all only around 5 years old, have already received at least one 10/10 game.

I think if SC2 and Crysis were scored by the old system, they would've been near perfect and higher than 9.6.
Or DA:O on the PC, which scored a 9.5[QUOTE="ChubbyGuy40"][QUOTE="topsemag55"] I believe the highest-rated PC game is Diablo, with a 9.6 under the old system.topsemag55

Or DA:O on the PC, which scored a 9.5But DA:O actually had problems (Such as interest of combat completely dropping half way through the game and broken combat. Playing a rogue was the worst!)

Yeah, but it was patched. I was pretty happy with the state of DA:O at the end, as BioWare even fixed the Silverite Mine Bug (in Awakening) right there at the end of the patches.I'm really excited for Diablo 3, but I doubt it'll get 10/10. Personally, I don't care because I'm going to play the crap out of it anyway! :)
There is no such thing as perfection in any art form, so a rating system can't possible exist to measure "perfection" -- whatever that is. Rating systems are there to measure things like quality and satisfaction. For example, a five star hotel isn't perfect, despite that it has the highest possible score in the star classification system. There's still something bound to be wrong with it. Why can't people wrap their head around this? And believe it or not, I have played games (Ocarina of Time, Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy IX, Final Fantasy X, Uncharted 2, Half-Life) where I felt nothing needed to be change, so I'd feel comfortable giving them a 10/10.In my expertly critical opinion, there is no such thing as a 10.0/10.0 game...10/10 means perfect...which means there's no room for improvement...which will make us all sad.

Who cares?
Gamespot gave GTA 4 a perfect 10. Yea, GTA 4.
Ratings don't mean a whole lot, especially a "10". GTA is full of flaws, and there's no objective way to justify giving it a number.
