I was thinking why PC doesn't have games like Dante's Inferno or GOW? i mean PC needs one like it and i think it will be the first game of its type. When Dante's Inferno announced , the first thing people said that this game will hit PC...cuz it is first of its kind and from EA which is one of biggest supporter of PC. We will never see GOW cuz -u know- sony and PS3....so the question is why EA didn't announce Dante's Inferno for PC? EA announced its profit from games and Wii was no.1 and PC no.2 and then 360 and PS3.....PC market was and still great for EA.
What do you mean first game of its type? Dante's Inferno is really no different from the DMC or Prince of Persia series, both of which have their fair share of titles available on PC. As for Gears of War, are you referring to third person shooters? Max Payne 1 & 2, Killswitch, Lost Planet, etc. As for "never" seeing GOW on PC, go back in time about 2 years and tell EPIC that. Both of those games you mentioned are hack & slash games, and usually are console experiences (gamepad play). Occasionally, we see a PC port (DMC3 and DMC4 comes to mind), but as a general rule, hack & slash games remain, most of the time, a console type genre.

I find nothing appealing from Dante's Inferno or God of War bud; God of War is extremely linear and repetitive. Dante's Inferno appears to be no different, mirroring almost exactly as a God of War game.
Platform games and hack + slash games are unusual to see on the PC because they are not conducive to mouse/keyboard control, much the same way that in the past, FPS games weren't on the consoles and RTS games still aren't for the most part, because they're not conducive to gamepad control. I don't have any problem with this, though the microsoft USB wireless adapter for their Xbox 360 controller pretty much negates that. But yeah, that's why. And I personally doubt that there's thathuge a demographic of PC gamers chomping at the bit for a hack and slash game. PC gamers stick to the PC because they stick to the type of games that you typically find on PC: RTS, FPS, RPG, MMO
Personally, though, I can't wait to pick up my PS3 copy of the God of War Collection
it seems few care about Dante's Inferno.... what i mean is i like Dante's Inferno cuz it talks about the 9 circles and hell and stuff like that and i saw some footage and it seems cool so it kinda great to see it on PC.
few issues back, pcgamers 'spy' report hinted that they have word that dantes inferno will reach the pc eventually.. but this was before the EA lay offs and the cancelled games this past week
