i doubt they're on GS a lot, if at all, but there are plenty of girl PC gamers out there. i've metplenty over time, and there's hordes of them on WoW.

I have no clue what game you're talkin about but then again I'm probly not a very hardcore gamer. WoW is like the only PC game I play. Also played Suikoden - 2 & 3 are my favorite hands down. I LOVE SSM on GC. I LOVE LINK!! Sorry...He's like the main charry I play. :P

I like the Mario racing games. Those're pretty fun. Tried FF but couldn't get into it =/ I absolutely love Jak 3 and Jak X: Combat Racing. Those're some fun games though for some VERY odd reason my PS2 does NOT wanna play Jak X aftera certain point....It pisses me off...Probly some kind of corruption with the file or something...I dunno.. But I wanna play it all the way through so bad. T_T

If anyone has WoW and is on the Bladefist server, wisp me ;) Toon is Jintra, Night Elf Hunter Lvl 63 :P Am in the Outlands! Mwahaha! >:)

Jeez...I was just tryin to be nice and have some fun...Don't have to get so mad about it...

One of my closest friends plays games a lot. Well I used to date her a while ago for a bit and she would always want to force me to play halo 3 with her just so she could beat me.

And she IS hot. And i mean HOT HOT HOT. and its not like she just plays games only, she actually knows a lot about PC as well. she can hack, and all this other crazy stuff easily. she's basically ... a dork. and says that all the time, is proud to be one actually.

sometimes when she plays halo 3 at my place... (she's actually VERY good at it) and wins, then lets everyone know she's a girl all the 'kids' (i would guess) get mad and say things like "girls shouldn't be playing games" and what not. if any girls decide NOT to reveal themselves so openly... i would think one of those reasons is that. there's a lot of kids around who act retarded when they find out a girl is in the game as well.

Lol, ever seen that Seinfeld episode when Jerry meets a female equivalent of himself? I don't think a girlfriend/wife that likes all the things you like is always such a good thing. I'd advise you not to be so open in a public place, especially one such as this one. Take this advice from someone more experienced than you :P . Talking about your personal problems, and advertising your myspace profile is really not a good idea, unless you're desperate for a bad experience.

I know Natalie. I have experience with forums and such. Parents have also goaded me about this stuff so I know where to draw the line. Besides....I just have a bunch of results from little quizzes and surveys on my MySpace. Also, I've always used my MySpace for a homepage site. Really the only one I have and I have everything set on it just how I want ;)

You see, an article in a gaming magazine I read some time ago suggested that female gamers tend not to reveal themselves as such, as their male gaming peers tend to react "differently" to their presence afterwards. That being said, I'm a regular at GPGNet forums, which is also home to a regular female member who seem to be treated no different from any of her male peers. That fact, as well as most of the responses to this thread, seems to suggest an encouraging trend in the gaming culture since the aforementioned article was published. At the end of the day, we're all gamers - whether we are male or female. And finally, kind hellos and welcomes to all you female gamers who responded to this thread.madrocketeer

I really can't believe how much attention this thread got! *LOL* As far as I'm concerned, it doesn't matter what a person's gender is on a PC forum.

And for the record, I'm female, married to a PS2 gamer, and have an 18mo old daughter. When I'm not spending time with my family or working in a pharmacy, I'm on the computer, playing GW, or something else, or cruising this forum to see how many people start the exact same thread about the exact same subject/game :P I also know how to build a PC! :O
