I'd go insane if they did all of tamriel, even if they had to do large parts of it randomly generated like in dagerfall.

[QUOTE="theafiguy"]I don't see why they can't release one section of the game as the release, and then release more regions as expansion packs.cabose38
Because each expansion pack would take 2-3 years to make.
Not if they create all the assets for the first release. This would likely take place next generation anyway, so a new engine which is all but required would be the bulk of the development time. However once the engine is finished, actual content development while still taking a long time, would depend on how they generate content. Arena and Daggerfall were huge because a majority of the space was randomally generated. If you look at Skyrim, it actually has a lot of unique content, this would not work for larger areas, it would take a lifetime to create completely unique content for the entire continent, its simply unrealistic.Knowing the gaming industry nowadays, you as a developer would want to stretch it out as much as you can. Hell, after playing Skyrim, that one region alone is area gigantic. I think it could have gotten away with being twice as large. Maybe the next ES game could feature two regions, AT THE MOST.The entirety of Tamriel. Why not? Wouldn't it be awesome for them to combine the past three games and then add all the other stuff? They just need to update it for the new engine. I would love for someone in Sadrith Mora to send me on a quest to Whiterun.

Personally I would prefer it if it was just in one region. I generally advocate the use of smaller worlds as they generally tend to be more content rich in my opinion.
All of Tamriel?
F*ck that how about the ENTIRETY OF NIRN(the planet Elder Scrolls takes place in)!???
Ok too ambitious, but I would like them to move away from Tamriel. We've seen so much of it, though there are some places like High Rock and Daggerfall we haven't seen in a current generation, I'd love them to try another continent. Like, how about Atmora? Or Yakuda? Hell, maybe Akavir or Pyandonea?
Though I also want a Fallout game outside the US, and I guess Tamriel is a core area for the franchise right now. Still, I'll keep hope we can see a vastly different area outside the Empire's boundaries in a totally new continent with new beings to worship, new architecture, new races, etc.
Hey, wait! Isn't Skyrim the final installment in the Elder Scrolls Series.
Well if there's gonna be ESVI by luck, i would prefer anywhere except Cyrodil, Morrowind and Skyrim. Southern Tamriel perhaps, i've had enough of the rocks.
I highly doubt it will be the last. Elder Scrolls is a very valuable, high money making franchise. There is so much unexplored territory we havent seen yet.Hey, wait! Isn't Skyrim the final installment in the Elder Scrolls Series.

The world for different TES games use different scales. For example, Daggerfall which takes place in part of High Rock and Hammerfell is thousands of times bigger than Oblivion. They would have to go recreating the entire continent save for one province which they will use as a base. It would take far too long.The entirety of Tamriel. Why not? What kind of environment do all these place have?
Skyrim = snow
Cyrodil = uhm, "high-fantasy greenish"
Elsewhere (:)) = desert and jungle
Black Marsh = swamp
What about the rest?
The next Elder Scrolls will be online. So it will probably use all the areas. But i am not sure these will be as big as in the SP games.

I second this. These two countries are neighbours, and together they would make up around the same landmass as Skyrim or Cyrodiil, so plenty to explore. It would also offer a nice diversity of environments, insights into two cultures, and more in-depth lore on those regions.

If this is the end of ES, there's a quite a lot of Tamriel we couldn't even see. Though the left over territories are described in such a detail as if they will be introduced someday.Hey, wait! Well from a lore perspective it will probably be somewhere where the Aldmeri Dominion is (if I'm remembering the name correctly), so high elf, wood elf, or khajit area, since we've seen the imperial areas. Personally, I would like Black Marsh. Though Morrowind might be cool, now that it's ruined, and you only really stay in Vvardnfell in the game Morrowind.
MMorpgs are a dying breed..Most these days are going f2p..Dont think elders scrolls online will be any different..Id love for them to redo some of the older games...Not game play wise just settings..With newer graphics..Maybe revisit daggerfall some time..Didnt they say there working on a new ip also other than elder scrolls first..Just remember them saying so..Id love to see a new type of rpg come out bye them..Instead of just elder scroll games..Would be kind of cool..Though im in the minority here..
I REALLY didnt like extreme racisim that they portrayed in Skyrimerikxander2112
You mean that one conversation, where that nord bullies an elf? :P
Should have put the series to rest with Oblivion in my opinion. The story has been overused to the point of boredom.SKaREOYup it's only downhill from here, especially now all the casuals are picking up on it. I know a lot of people who talk about Skyrim and act as if they know everything about it when in reality it's only their first, or at best, second game they've played in the series. I just can't see the series going back to what made it so great, actually having to find places without an auto-compass is too difficult for most people and they don't want to alienate the casuals. The funniest thing I heard was a guy who was playing on PC and he found an exploit to boost his smithing up and he did it for like 2 hours and got 100 smithing, and I was just like if you want to cheat then just open up the console and change your stats, to which he replied "I'm playing on PC, not console" :lol:
