I'm contemplating upgrading my GPU and adding a SSD. I can only do one at the moment and I'm not sure which. My current GPU is a Geforce GT 240. I don't play games too often on the PC but I've started playing DayZ and have some MMOs and strategy games that are fairly new. Any thoughts?

The GPU first no questions asked then. It will improve your gaming experience by a lot. SSDs while being nice to have are...well, nice to have. I wouldn't value them more than that.

Since gaming isn't something I do too often I'm looking at staying under $150. This is the card I was looking at, Geforce GTX 550 Ti.

I also do a lot of photo editing and manipulation with photoshop and Lightroom.

Pay slightly more and get the much better (considering small price difference) HD 6850.
