I'm currently deciding between ASUS M4A89TD and the MSI 890FXA-GD70. I'm leaning toward the MSI, but I'm not sure. :(

They're so close that I'm not sure you'd even notice a difference but I'd personally go with the MSI anyway (because of my experience with them as a good manufacturer).

I would say ASUS, but thats just because I haven't had a problem with them, and if I do, they pick up the broken part from my house.

I'm getting the Asus one for my build. The same one you linked. Get that one! .... And then let me know how it works out. :P

Why does it have to be 890FX? I would get this one:

MSI 790FX-GD70 AM3 AMD 790FX ATX AMD Motherboard

There's hardly any difference between 790FX and 890FX to turn this baby down.

Besides, both of those motherboards have rather bad reviews. 20% DOA's? Yeah...no thanks.

I personally had very good experience with MSI, and was the owner of the 790FX-GD70. And believe me, if it wasn't for the fact that I wanted SLI, I would've stuck with it for as long as I could. I loved the features that it had, from the amount of customizability that it had in terms of BIOS settings, MSI's auto OC feature (although I've never used it), its very hefty heatsinks for the power phases and NB, and the fact that it can support quad crossfire should you decide to do it.

I was very satisfied with my experience with my 790fx-gd70, and the 890fxa-gd70 looks no different. Hence, it is also the one that gets my recommendation.

@ Kaitanuvax That mobo is lacking in new features. For that price I'd go with the 890FX (Asus).

I was under the impression that their only difference is USB3.0 and SATA 6.

The 890's reviews don't seem very promising as opposed to the 790's.
