Avast, but if you decide to buy an antivirus software I recommend - ESET NOD32.

Ha ha that's a great, and very true analogy there :).[QUOTE="magicalclick"]I am using the free Microsoft one. But, the best anti-virus is yourself. They are like condom, it is not going to protect you 100%.p00zer
lol yeah, most pc problems, whether people want to admit it or not, are user related.
When you originally download avast it states for you to register the program for free. I personally like avast and it uses very minimum system resources. I also like the ability to do a system scan outside the normal windows operating system.
I use to use AVG but after I notice it uses over 100mb+ of ram I moved off of it. AVG hides ALOT of ram usage in your system which should be 48 k but jumps to 90,000k on avg.
Which is quite odd since on avcomparatibes it does worse than avast. http://www.av-comparatives.org/Seriously, guys, agreed. I'm going to do everybody a favor here and just summarize the results:JigglyWiggly_
Manual scan:
AVG - 94%
Avast - 98%
Avira - 99.4%
Realtime protection:
AVG - 49%
Avast - 53%
Avira - 74%
Bad on AVG was it had the slowest performance and the worst detection rates. Bad on Avast was.. I guess slightly worst realtime protection. Bad on Avira was more false positives than the others. At least use Avast or Avira though, I use MSE.
