Hey,

I am looking for an external HDD to back up only email and picture files, so it only needs to small like 250 GB - 500GB (even though I wont be using all the room). I need something that is very good quality and has high reliability. Also one that comes with a program so I select which folders to back up and it will automatically back those up files in that folder (like Carbonite does), if there is a HDD that comes with a program along those lines. I dont know much about extnerall HDDs so would anyone be able to help me out?

Thanks

the biggest in your budget, you can never have to much space and bigger drives are faster. western digital and seagate are both much the same and pretty reliable. the hdd box brand doesn't really matter to much. hdds are just that a hdd. if you want automated backup get the pro version of windows or some 3rd party app. drives hardly ever come with more than driver software.
