(I wonder if I posted this in the right section or not but.) Which game is better X3 or Freelancer? I have played both but was not sure which is better and was wondering what was your guys oppinion on the game? ( I like X3 more I think. It has cooler gameplay and you could build stations and ships.)

x3 is cooler in a single player sense. Freelancer is great in the online or playing with friends on a small server. I think there is now some Big servers that still run through some workaround after microsoft shutdown the normal servers.

I really enjoyed the X series games as they had so much depth in them. I lost track of how many hundred hours those games took to learn and attempt to master, building up vast trading empires and fleets of ships, mastering the art of stealing ships through combat, though I usually forgot all about the plot and just went about doing my own thing. It was only really when the game forced the plot on a bit that I remembered it was there :)

Well put, have some good memories of playing that game. As you said it took awhile to learn the whole game. That new Elemental game gives me the same feeling, though they are differnt games.

I tried playing X3 but it was just so friggen difficult. I even used a guide and I couldn't figure out what to do. It required me to buy something and sell it and I couldn't figure out how to do that.

Freelancer has been one of my all time favourite games for a long time. It was simple, but it was also fun. Freelancer gets my vote by far. I'd love to see a new Freelancer game, alas that's never going to happen.

Both are very good games but their scope is different. X3 is the more comprehensive game...its basically Eve-Online : Single Player Edition. If you are looking for more good space game, please try Freespace 2. BEST.SPACE.GAME.EVER. You can download it legally cos the game is now practically FREE. (they officially released the source code). You can also buy the game for 5 bucks from gog.com, if you wanna support that website.
