My bose headphones have a maintenance cost of $35 every 1.5 years. It's basically the ear cushions which slowly degrade and after over a year of use, the headphones become useless. And a new set of cushions costs a freaking $35.:?

My current cushions are just 6 months old so I was thinking it is probably a good time to sell them off as there are finally quite alot of sennheiser products coming here now. Bose is considered the god of audio so I wouldnt have much problems selling them at a good price.

These are my options right now, I want noise isolation so open back is not an option. I have a top fan and a wall fan in my room which produce alot of noise, they are necessary as it is very hot over here. So as good as open back sounds, they are not an option for my primary headphones.

This is what I have narrowed it down to with what is available in my country.

Sennheiser HD 448 = $160

Sennheiser HD 280 Pro = $110

Sennheiser HD 428 = $70

Expected selling price of bose around ear headphones = $60-80

I want to go as cheap as possible but the sound should be atleast as good as bose if not better. I do have a headphone amp in my sound card.

Audio Technica M50 would be my reccomendation. Very portable, well built, sound great, and pretty comfortable. Only issue is the cable is pretty long

Comparison between HD280 Pro and AT M50

Importing around Middle Eastern areas can get quite expensive.

If you're looking for a consensus, I'm in agreement with ChubbyGuy40. Also: You not getting the AV-40's, or is this a separate purchase, then? Happy gaming, Boz

This is a seperate purchase.

AV-40's will have to wait a while as they are very expensive but I will definitely get them sometime this year.

Btw sennheiser cushions dont degrade as quickly as bose right? That's the primary reason for selling them and not that I am not happy with the sound.

Pakistan isn't in the middle east neither is China!! *throws shoe at chubbyguy40* I do not know the prices of electronics in Pakistan. But something tells me it not cheap? For example, the UAE has kebabs for like ¢50 but the TVs are more expensive there than norway/denmark or any where else in the world that I know of :) I was thinking if you were European, and lived in a place like Norway (like me) that has only a fraction of what other countries offer you could import from say germany/uk (I did so with my headphones, they got delayed for 3 weeks but they cleared all shipping, custom clearance, import tax, cut VAT, gave me staff discount etc..) I figure that China is the closest place to Pakistan that 'has stuff' if you get what I mean

/rageface

YOU KNOW WHAT I MEANT

I know it costs quite a lot just to ship small boxes to Afghanistan and Iraq. Not to mention it takes 3-4 weeks from the USA. China takes forever to get their orders out.
