There's no such thing as a 512MB 8800 Ultra. You're either looking at a G92 8800 series card (in which case the 9800GTX is better) or you've got the wrong RAM amount listed. The 8800 Ultra is actually a superior card at higher resolutions from what I can remember, but it also cost nearly twice as much as the 9800GTX.

Below that, the architectural changes and clock speeds of the 9800GTX give it an advantage. Not to mention its power draw is much lower than the Ultra.
They from what I have seen are neck and neck most times.. The ultra may beat it in certain tests.. But the Ultra draws way more energy as well as most likely produces more heat.
