How was it fanboyish? Fanboyism requires that the subject in question makes a statement that suggests or confirms they are a fanatic for a particular thing. His statement made it clear that he is the opposite of a fanboy for cell phone games.

He never had bias favoring any side. He simply said that one side sucks. You're assuming that means he's saying it because he's directly comparing it to other sides, so you're drawing the conclusion that he's a fanboy based on information that is neither there nor reasonably capable of being inferred.
I, for instance, would say cell phone games suck even if I had never played any other games before, so it would have nothing to do with me comparing it to how I favor other games. I have played other games, but even so, in me saying cell phone games suck, I still do not mean it as in "as opposed to PC games." They just suck. Period.
Furthermore, what constitutes fanboyism is not simply a preference, like, or appreciation of one thing over another upon direct comparison. Fanboyism is more a state of when one has the aforementioned qualities for reasons other than their logical conclusion of which thing is better after having analyzed the facts about each, reasons such as needless and/or undeserved loyalty toward it. For example, I have played PC games and have played cell phone games. I can compare the two and honestly say that I feel PC games are extraordinary while cell phone games are relatively piles of poo. That doesn't make me a fanboy; I came to this conclusion because I analyzed in my mind the positive qualities of PC games and compared them to those of cell phone games, and found the PC side highly satisfactory and the cell phone side very lacking. I did not have some sense of devotion toward or allegiance with PC gaming which affected my judgement and made me unable to recognize or concede the merits of cell phone games, therefore fanboyism does not come into the picture.

Nah, that's just what I reason it to be. I feel that too many people go around spouting he or she is a fanboy without vividly understanding themselves what fanboyism is. Typing out long paragraphs like that often helps me to understand things more distinctly; to take things in my psyche I "just kind of get but don't know how to explain," extract them out through writing (typing), and organize them by rewriting (re-typing, much easier thanks to the handy backspace).
