after my birthday im going to build a computer and i want to know which of these two processors(under 500 bucks) is better for gaming

The second one is for laptops, aka mobile.
Anyways, an E6600 is all you need.

The core 2 duo obviously,but thats a mobile version,get a E6600 like LordEC said.

because im 14 and i only make money in the summer mowing lawns which actually pays good last year i made about 250 bucks a week

well if you want to spend that much on a cpu go for it, but i reccomend saving about 200 dollars or so and getting a processor that will suit you just as well for your needs. if you have the money and want to do it...go for it. but you can still build a bomb ass rig for the money i assume you're going to be putting into this thing. plus that 200 dollars could go to other parts in the rig. just a suggestion, others may disagree.  Take a look at the E6600

alright ill do that ill wait till may and then ill have another 1000 bucks from mowing lawns then ill build something nice plus the 500 i allready have

Well, the X2 6000+ is a tad better then the E6600, but you can get an E6700 which blows the 6000+ out of the water(Maximum PC Benchmarks, next months issue) for less then the 6000+ by like 75$...
