Which PC Games Do You Plan to Save to Show Your Grandchildren in the Future?

who said i'll have grandchildren, and btw do you know if life on earth will exist in a few decades? children like flashy things, they don't value or respectstuff forits historical significance. i'd rather show some currently modern or not so modern games to older teens or adults in the future who will understand the meaning they had at their time.

Other games= Goldeneye, Perfect Dark (N64 version), Call of Duty 1, Starcraft, Medieval 2 Total War, KOTOR 1, all of my other Star Wars games, Halo series, Red Faction 2, Final Fantasy games, Zelda A Link to the Past (? weird Nintendo named it that, it will be a link to the past some day), Morrowind, Freelancer, Empirium Galactica 2, Serious Sam series, God of War series, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Postal 2 and the Hitman series.

Why hasn't anyone said Doom?

Hopefully my grandkids will have the gamer dna flowin through their blood and will appreciate FPS titles and I'll make sure that the first fps they play is EVERY Doom title, except for Doom 3. Oh also all Half Life titles.

I love how there always has to be a significant number of people that just happen to pick out something that came out within the past two months for these kinds of questions... :roll:

You ask the same question in a year or two and almost nobody will say Crysis.

Anyway, I'd have to say Starcraft, The Sims, World of Warcraft (if it was even possible to show them), Wolfenstein 3D (the game that pretty much started the FPS genre, even if only because it came out at exactly the right moment), Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego :D, Oregon Trail, Sim City....

Hell, I could probably keep going for quite a while...

Best chance is for some talented individuals to mod it. Honeselty I'd prefer it more than anything VUG had their filthy hands on.

well i wouldnt say thats the only one, but it would be my first choice certainly. such a fantastic game. eidos, get DE3 right or ill collect ure beeping head.

also baldurs fate, freespace, KOTOR, planescape torment, POP:SOT (though id show them a console version to be honest), BG&E (again on a console), UT, giants citizen kabuto and outcast.

Would I live that long? Seriously...surviving 40 yrs is not a joke...

As for the sake of the topic, No ...I wont bore them to death by saying how old time was...instead I'll play latest games with them ..and I'll let them pwn me in future competitive FPSs. Some of you have no idea how godly fun it is to lose to your children and grandchildren, even if you can win...you don't even want to. example: My dad.

But they will be more superior than you. Making 1on1 Dm matches with my friend's grandchildren or children against my Children or grandchildren is what I'm looking forward to. If I'm lucky.

Yes, you really can't not show future generations how great Half-life 2 was. I would also have to say Far Cry, Call of Duty, Doom 3, and Rome: Total War.Colonel_Cool

Might as well just take Medieval 2, its Rome with no clone armies, better graphics, and more content
