Aren't we being a bit sexist recommending all these easier games? Jeez.

We might as well recommend that girls play World of Warcraft for the cooking and tailoring professions. :P

We're recommending easier games because she's not played RPGs before :P No matter how much you play games, going into a genre you've never ever played before can be a bit difficult, so harder games don't help that :P

I would go with Dragon Age Orgins... All this crap about girls thinking these games are too hard is ridiculous. If you'd recommend it to a guy recommend it to a girl :P Even new RPG players could easily play Dragon Age, I don't care hwo you are but if you think this game is hard on easy/normal you are full of it. /endrant I loved Dragon Age. Lets face it, most games arent THAT hard after you play them for a bit. Just takes time to learn the ground rules.

Now I am going to go back to playing L4d2 and CODMW2. Girls play those games too, I know...hard to believe right!? Although from the way you guys make it out to be I may die irl cause i am to fragile to handle FPS games let alone complex RPGS /shudder

I don't know how I made it into a US top 20 WoW Raiding guild. It must be all my inadequate gaming skills. -.-

Did anyone actually say that some games would be too hard "because she's a girl" ? I was under the impression we were trying to recommend RPGs for people who are new to RPGs, and in general the RPG genre is one of the most difficult to get into. Don't take things the wrong way and take offence, nobody thinks girls aren't as good at gaming as guys we're just trying to help get someone into RPGs, I know I'm giving the same advice I would give for a male player too...

If she likes Star Wars, I think that the obvious best choice would be KOTOR if you want to get her into the older WRPGs. However, if you just want to get her interested in RPG's then move onto the bit more deeper WRPG's, then I guess you could start if with a Final Fantasy, they're pretty easy to understand, and I think they make a good first RPG.

For a beginner i reccomend fable and oblivion. Dragon age is kinda hardcore and fallout 3 is kinda bloody!!
