Which SSD should I buy from here?

I think its time to upgrade my windows drive to an ssd, get funky lag with my current one, 120gb sounce nice.. for most of this im paying about 1$ per gb

I acknowledge what u said but I was just trying to say that just for a few seconds of faster load times and boot times, I would not consider an ssd because the cost simply is unjustifiable.Diwashb

But they're not really made for being your primary storage drive - which is why you don't really need to spend a huge amount of money on one unless you're a pro or monumentally lazy when it comes to installing (or flushed with cash). You can spend a fairly small amount of money on a 60-100GB SSD for Windows and your main programs and not really have spent an "unjustifiable" amount.

I have no pressing need for an SSD yet, but as I make my tower a media as well as gaming machine, it would be nice to eliminate the load up time (OK, 1m 30s is hardly a long time, but it is compared to a DVD player).

Mine boots up in 13 secs so chizaaammm also i was a little skeptible at first when i got my ssd but once i had it I'm never turning back

Im upgrading my current system (from 2010): GTX 260, AMD Phenom 2 x4 3.2ghz, 8gb DDR2.

I am now going to order a GTX 670 and I believe that Crucial SSD for my Windows 7 drive and I will reformat my current windows drive, yeah my computer will be snappy and fresh, I'm gonna rush delivery it too. ordering tommorrow

Aside from the M4, you should also consider the Samsung 830, Its been having alot of sales also.

Im thinking of the intel 520about 180$ and way higher up than the crucial

go buy wd velociraptor 600gb , its only 170$ on amazon and if you want bigger drive then get velociraptor 1tb at 280$ .

really close to ssd peformance .

Louder, sucks more power and isn't even close to the same performance.
There is quite a gap between the midrange/performance SSDs and Raptors.
