well my school has 100mb up 50mb down, beat that GS! :PVelloCretic
My great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-grandparents had about 5 meter/second when they threw rocks at the other clan...
Not that great, but I can download my Steam games perfectly fine (2mb/s), excellent for gaming, perfect for my uses. Only thing that sucks is tha it is from Charter.

An easy win for me so far :P

You missed the top spot because of the top post.
damn i thought that said 16mb at a glance. :oops:I wish I had Fios :( its not available in my area

The thing I like with FIOS is it tests the same speed every time at all times, and you actually get the speed test speeds in real downloads. With Charter I'd test 25 Mb down, but with actual downloads it would never go past about 18 Mb.

Hai guise surprise buttsecks Unfortunately I do have the luxury of using this at this time, I am working my way getting it back. JigglyWiggly_Duct tape method or...?
Is that a business connection or one of those trials?:D

Fastest Internet in the world is 40GB/s - owned by a 76 year old grandmother...who's son is the boss of a broadband company...DeX2010That's just the test connection, it's been used in other places too such as Dreamhack and i think some of the other large LAN/Demo parties. The guy did a lot more than run an ISP, he lead the whole of Sweden on to the internet.
F*** me, I've got the slowest download in the thread so far. It's officially capped at 2Mbit, but I have to cap it at 1.6 Mbit using my router to get consistant enough traffic shaping to game while downloading. My upload is also 2 Mbit, so my connection isn't exactly great. It's 1:1 though at least, which is useful if you do any hosting.
What's worse is that almost all of this city has fiber, except for the street I live in. It's cut off from the other neighborhoods by train tracks and a main road. It's pretty much their last priority when it comes to expanding into new places.

Hey, I thought that the Scandinavian countries had some great speeds all around :(
Must say that this presumption is based on the couple of swedish folks I know...

Sweden makes up for the high average speeds :P 100 Mbit is "normal" over there...That's right. You're using AT&T and their top internet package is elite pro which goes up to 6mb/s. I just switched from AT&T to Time Warner Cable. I would advise that you do too.[QUOTE="IronBeaver"]
uhm....that cant be right...can it?
Elann2008
meh. it is good enough for me. I dont' lag in games so its no big deal.

[QUOTE="SPBoss"]TC seriously who cares.. its not like any website servers actually upload at those ridiculous speeds. 160mbps is great but nothing will actually download at that rate.Elann2008This. For example on Steam, I max out at around 1.2 mb/s. I've seen it jump to 2mb/s, but it will drop back down to 1mb/s to 1.2 mb/s. It would be good if it actually worked .. if it did right now for example a 1080p youtube video would load in seconds, and a hd movie would download in less than a few minutes. At least its future-proof :)
Im pretty sure I win this one

I thought Orcon was supposed to be good.
Really need to imporve my ping somehow...
Im fairly certain Verizon Fios just made their coverage look like a circle around my neighborhood... as in covering everywhere except my city and its vicinity. haters, I mean how is a man suppose to download his nsfw hd videos with slow internet.
