I've had my curreny PC for about 3.5 years, but have bought several upgrades for it. I plan to get my next pc around the end of the year with something that can take advantage of some of the latest games and run them at the highest settings.
Seeing Crysis that might make the purchase a bit more expensive to hit maximum detail!!
I will be buying a new one in a few months but mine is doing the job fine right now. I am waiting for windows vista to be more optimized and then I will buy one but not from chipfast.com :).

nice system petmoose, but I would be weary of that Powersupply. The Apevia brand is more then well known for blowing or a failing unit, and when they do blow/fail, they usually take components with it.
Also, I could have built a better system for cheaper, but you know, not everyone can build a system.
I do lol, I dont realy even own my current PC it's my moms! We just dont have the cash to shell out for a new rig being that we live in a duplex! Sad thing is I'm 24, and I still cant afford my own PC or home lol.

Nah, I'm quite happy with my rig. In fact, I sold my Geforce 6800GT to a friend a few months ago and he gave me his old Radeon 9800 Pro, which I'm quite happy with. I've been looking into upgrades, but I honestly just don't feel like it's worth the money to me. This system is so dated, I'm just going to have to build a new one from scratch whenever I get around to it, and this one is still serving my needs pretty well anyway. When something eventually does come along that my machine just can't run, I'll probably just go pick up another gig of RAM and the fastest AGP card I can find and call it a day. As long as it runs, I'm happy. Besides, HL2:E2/TF2/Portal is the only thing coming out I'm actually excited to play, and my rig runs the Source engine (and Oblivion, believe it or not) beautifully. Of course, I do want to play Bioshock, but it's not going to be a twitch game, so I'm actually considering just playing through it on the 360. The jury's still out on Unreal Tournament 3, but I'm not exactly hurting for multiplayer stuff right now anyway, so I can wait a little longer. Other than those few, none of the games that have my eye right now require monster hardware, so I'd say I'm good where I sit. And to tell you the truth (*activates flame suit*), I actually think Crysis looks pretty stupid. :P
Me! I think I have sucked the maximun out of my Intel 3.2 HT, Nvidia AGP 7600GS and 2 gigs of RAM... The way that they are over-clocked... I hope they will last till the end of the year. I am waiting for the requirements for StarCraft 2 before I upgrade! I am happy with XP and see no need to go to Vista at this point, plus there are so few games needing DX10 that I dont see a need to upgrade in the next 6 months anyway... But upgrade I will!
