[QUOTE="dnuggs40"][QUOTE="bdever32"] HL2's full story is in the game. Have you ever heard of a sequel? I guess Starcraft's full story wasn't in the game because they are making Starcraft 2? Plus they aren't charging $50 for each episode so I don't see what you're going on about here. The episodes together are basically HL3 as said by Valve before. They are just releasing it in a different manner. aura_enchanted
The fact is, HL2 is separated out into episodes, and Starcraft 2 will also see mutliple releases. Also, Blizzard said each "episode" will be full fledged campaigns with 20-30 missions, not 4 hour affairs (like HL2 episodes), which is why the price is higher. Personally I think what Valve offered is well worth the money, and based on Blizzards past games, Starcraft will also be worth the money. The point is, if you are going to criticize one company for splitting a game into pieces (or episodes), then the same criticism needs to be places on the other company.yes but you see blizzard neglects there games man thats another fine reason they cant win. would u like to know the last time diablo1 got a patch ill tell you 1999! its been beaten and exploited so bad it hurts its a hackers chat room now and diablo 2 is quickly falling its predecessors footsteps, and blizzard hasnt dont a god damn thing about it. warcraft 2 hasnt changed either wheres the love for that hmm? bah there no better than microsoft game studio or rare post n64.
Ignorance on a epic scale.
Diablo II, for instance, received content after release, and has been patched years after release. New items, rune words, updates to ladder, ect.
Here is Diablo 1's patch history:

And you have to remember, Diablo cam out a long time ago when multiplayer was still young, and battlenet was pretty revolutionary for it's time. Aura, you seriously say some of the most rediculous stuff on this site. Blizzard certainly does not "neglect" their games...that statement is fail on a massive scale.
Personally, I think if we look at this on a "what have you done for me lately" basis, Valve certainly comes out ahead by a good margine in added freebies. No doubt about it. Major kudos to Valve! But what you are trying to push, which is Blizzard "neglecting their games" is total rubish, and you know it.
