I'm so used to paying $30 to $40 for brand new games with all these great deals that I don't know if I want to put down $60-$80 for this, but other then MW3 I've never been let down by a Call of Duty game yet this gen, and Treyarch knows their stuff. Pick 10, open ended campaign decisions, future settings (real future not "3 years from now" future like every Tom Clancy and Modern Warfare game), and of course the fantastic zombies mode.

It looks pretty stellar.

From the leaks, it looks exactly like the same old CoD that comes out every year. It's a casual game that sells on marketing with gameplay and graphica from 2007. Have fun playing with mountaidew bro XXX_MLG_SN1P4H_13_XXX.

I do i mean people love to hate on COD but theres a reason it seels so much the game is undeniably fun. Now MW3 was awful imo and a prime example of why the every year iteration actually hurts the series. To me it felt like all of the advancements they had made with BO were undone for the most part and just overall stale. BO2 seems to be improving a lot on BO1 which is a good thing. They also have fresh interesting time period to work with and it seems like they have made the most of it. Zombies also seems like it could be its own separate game in BO2 so i do think it will be worth it.

People complain about CoD and the price tag, but in reality it's 3 games in one + endless hours of fun.

I think it'll be great, because the only thing wrong with MW3 (for me) was the anti-cheat, and this time they are using VAC which has a good track record.

True_Sounds
MW 2 used vac and that was full of cheating. The best defense against cheating is dedicated servers which BO 2 has last I heard.

You still get cheaters in dedicated servers, the only advantage is admins, but most of the time they aren't on there anyway. I wonder if some company will one day create a game which can't be hacked...? That's why I love my FIFA, it's nearly impossible to hack and even so, it would be just macro keys that don't give too much advantage anyway.

I'm just totally burnt out on the rinse, repeat, add a few new gimmicks, and charge for DLC that adds little to the game (unless it's multiple maps). I work to hard to spend my money on this kind of thing. You all enjoy!

As long as they keep the dedicated servers and Steamworks, it should be good.

Wasdie

Dedis are in but can't be rented. Matchmaking will put you on a server based on your ping.

No more crouch/pistol only 24/7 Nuketown!

I like the idea of server based on ping, us Aussies will hopefully have good matches.

I think it will be i was let down by MW3, considering how much time i spent playing Black ops, now it looks like i'll be getting my COD fix again.

I had a bad experience pre-ordering Black Ops, with Black Ops 2 I'm definitely going to wait until it either has the majority of its bugs fixed, or if it goes on sale.

Totally burned out on the COD series.

Ill rent it for one of my consoles one weekend and maybe one day when its chea during a steam sale, but definatly not on day one.

Especially with Hitman coming this month to and also another multiplayer series came out this month to (Halo4), which Id rather play.

I will say this though, the last few installments of the series Treyarc has done better than IW imo.

Auto-aim is a pain in the ass on the console versions. I hope it's removed for PC. You literally hit the left bumper on the 360 controller and it basically lines up a headshot for you. So lame. But like I said, silly entertainment. But if you haven't played for a few years you might get a kick out of it.

NeonNinja

using controllers for FPS games. N0PE.

Also there is never auto aim on PC what the hell l0l0ll

I'm not making any assumptions about what is and isn't in the PC version.

There is no native controller support for CoD on PC so why would there be auto aim? This isn't an assumption it's a fact. Unless this is going to change with Blops2 (which, let's face it, it won't) what I said is valid.

In MW 2 I saw aimbots everytime I played. In Black Ops I saw 2 aimbots in the 6 months that I played it.

Black Ops has native controller support. Doubt it has aim assist though since theres no option for it in the settings

Did you play both games at launch? And you just proved my point anyway. Black Ops would have less cheaters since it's controlled by admins, while MW2 isn't. Personally, I have had the same amount of cheaters on both MW2, MW3 and Blops.

I'm getting it, the story sounds interesting (if cliche), and it seems to be doing a lot of things to freshen up the series. It can't be any worse then Medal of Awful.

Getting a game that you think will be bad. Glass house mentality and intellect just oozes out of you!. Feel that power!

And yes, I am now officially stalking you :D

PLayed both at launch, MW 3 was hacker heaven within a couple of days. You said that admins are barely ever on to kick cheaters which would mean that the cheating was almost as bad in Blops as MW 2 and 3. Theres a gigantic difference between 2 cheaters in months of playing and cheaters everytime you play. So no, I didnt prove your incorrect point. From the original Cod in 2003 to MW 3, only MW 2 and 3 had rampant cheating, all the otherst had very little cheating.

Theres no way you had the same amount of cheaters in Blops as you did in MW 2 and MW 3.

Maybe you got lucky? my friend played blops last week and had a hacker. He played this week on another server and hackers again. There goes ur theory of 2 hackers in 6 months. Just because you had the luck of getting good admins and servers, don't think there aren't any. also learn to read, I said admins help so probably yes, blops would have less cheaters

If you want more COD it looks like it. The developers really put in the effort in terms of the sheer amount of content in their COD releases. I can rattle off about a million things wrong about Black Ops, but I don't regret buying it, even if I won't be touching the second any time soon.
