Why be a PC Gamer?

Can anyone tell me why i should stay a PC gamer? i upgraded my rig because i feel i should stay a pc gamer, but somehow im regretting it with gears 2 and fable 2 being a 360 exclusive. Can anyone reassure me? why be a pc gamer? gianluca24

Why not? You already have the system. It would be absolutely ridiculous and a waste of money to stop gaming on PC just because you want Fable 2 and Gears 2. But that doesn't mean you can't get those games, you can always game on multiple systems. Everyone could be a PC gamer if they wanted, or do you know someone who doesn't own a PC?RK-Mara

Why restrict yourself to one platform if you want to play games on other platforms?  There is no law saying you have to stick to one system...

Well if those two games are really worrying you about the state of PC gaming then I urge you to look at history. There were two other games that were 360 exclusives at one point as well. They were called Fable and Gears of War. These two games made their way to PC in time and their sequels you want so bad may do the same (their developers may say no but history says otherwise). That is why you should stay a PC gamer, in time the console exclusives you want may come to you without having to buy a console. Not to mention that giving up on a platform you have obviously invested money in so you can play two games is not a good move.

1. The PC is easier to control.
2. The PC has better graphics. You just upgraded it!
3. The PC has more exclusives, including nearly every RTS.
4. Mods!
5. Better multiplayer - moar servers, bigger servers, and a much more active and mature community.

maybe not now then? if most of the games you're hyped about are console exclusive or original, skip one of your routine PC upgrade, and you should be able to get yourself a 360.

Well a PC game can usually play a console game better than a console once it is ported.

Except that most of the time, they do a shoddy job at porting it to PC, almost as an afterthought.

There are plenty of PC exclusives. If all the games you want are coming to consoles, you should have bought a console in the first place.

WTF? That guy has forgotten some great PC classics, and yet has incuded some games that are out for the 360/PS3. And isn't Braid a 360 exclusive?

In a 90 percent, all the games that comes to XBOX 360 or PS3 comes in a year or less to PC, for example GTA IV, Dead Space (This was simultaneous), Gears of Wars, Call of Duty (The Family), etc.

If you make a cost list you only spend in the game for PC and you use for many thing, and in the other hand you have to spend in the console (recently have many useful, but isnt build for that, the xbox 360 for example in my country, 1 year of life is a gods gift, because his lends is too power-full, only the ultimate version said that have more duration, but)

PC Gamer has better games. Like...way better games. I couldn't care less about Gears 2 and Fable 2 because both of those games suck compared to what I've been playing for years.

I can't tell you why you should do anything because that is up to you. It would defeat the purpose if I told you how to think for your hobby. What I can tell you is I like pc gaming for many reasons; freedom to backup my own software, so many old games at my fingertips, emulators (only if I own a hard copy because I am NOT a pirate), mods that make games worth so much more and provide much more than any of my hobbies, fps-the genre that I was introduced into gaming with and still play as the majority to this day, is controlled best on pc, the quality games that you see are for the most part on pc while on others, contrary to popular belief pc gaming is cheaper than console gaming (I can break it down if you like but won't here for the sake of length), companies cannot delete my hard work because they dont like it (I'm looking at you LBP) and finally I am customize my pc however I like and no one can tell me how.

Number 2 is PC game last longer to play then xbox360 game like xplane xbox 360 is good for some year but how about the next 5 year like when they make like idk say xbox 2 then you have to pay say $600.00 to get this new one then by next 5 years its the same thing over and over agen in wich I keep a pc that can last longer and save $$$ wich all I have to do is upgrade some stuff.

Fist off.... are u foreign? Second To completely upgrade your pc every 5 years would cost you like a grand easy. Xbox isnt expensive at all. They sell you all of the hardware at a loss. Also i dont see how a pc game lasts any longer with the exceptions of more cheats witch i guess could add and extra 5 hours or so. 

^^^ Not all games have cheats. Like command and conquer you can't cheat at all.

You don't need a $1000 for a PC, right now you can build a decent rig that will play most PC games for $400, and chances are you wil get at least CPU and GPU upgrade out of that rig...  PC games last longer due to multipler and mods...
