A GTS 640 can do high in 14x9 atleast my friend's does in 12x10 with no AA.Although he has overclocked past GTX speeds, with an E4600 at 3.2Ghz and 2GB RAM in XP.
The TC's problem is that he is running in DX10,has insufficient RAM and has not oced.He should atleast OC the 1200Mhz stock sdader clock as crysis is very shader heavy. There's really no reason to not overclock the GTS to GTX speeds as that is still "stock".
I cant run it really good either. PC: E8400 OC to 3.7ghz EVGA 9800 GTX 2gb DDR2 Ram Windows XP SP2 I get like 45fps at 1368x720 with everything set to high. Im not expecting it to max out but the water in my game looks NOTHING like what I have seen in pictures for dx9 and dx10 comparisons.WOWZORS
Just set the water to very high??With 45FPS I am sure you can bare the couple of FPS drop that would come that way.
Crysis to me feels smooth upto 15FPS all you need to do is raise the mouse sensitivity. While technically crysis may not give good frames,it still feels good in low frames unlike any other game.
