[QUOTE="CaptainAhab13"]"Run, shoot, die, kill, and repeat" describes many multiplayer first-person shooters. I'd definitely say TF2 is a pretty unique game within this "run, shoot, die, kill, and repeat" genre.Starshine_M2A2How so? Ah, thank you for replying with a question. :D Hopefully I didn't misconstrue your previous post; I posted in a very fatigued state after pulling an all-nighter of homework. In any case, I feel that TF2 differs itself immensely from other multiplayer shooters on a number of levels. The classes (most in TF2 were in TFC, before the days of Battlefield or CoD); the art style (granted, you mentioned gameplay, not the art style, but I figured I'd mention it anyway); the sheer amount of creative weaponry within the game, after Mann Co. was released; the physics themselves, which include the movement of the Scout, the Demoman in the hands of a superb player, and rocket jumping -- which leads to the existence of trick jump maps; the Payload game mode; the dozens upon dozens of intricacies of teamwork that can be found due to the variety of classes within the game. That's all I've got. :? I honestly prefer games like Fortress Forever, which is basically TFC in the Source engine with some tweaks, but I do feel that TF2 is a pretty unique multiplayer FPS.
