I disagree that all the dialogue would have to be voice-acted. Maybe just the first sentence of every conversation could be voice-acted. If the graphics were top notch, the combat all made real-time, and the dialogue and story all kept the same, it would do extremely well sales-wise.
Just look how good the Resident Evil remake on the Gamecube was. It was excellent and made the game so much better than the original.

The combat in PST is already real-time but if you're talking "real-time"like Mass Effect or Fallout:Oblivion combat...dear god, no. Just no.
I really hope they never do a remake, they'd only screw it up stream-lining it to appeal to the much coveted groundling audience.
PST is fine just how it is. If modern gamers can't deal with a little reading, or the graphics (which actually still look quite good in high rez.) then tough. Sorry, butI have little to no sympathy for the ADHD Generation. There are already enough crappy (and a few decent), "RPGs" being made for that particular demographic, thanks.
Now, if they made another game in the Planescape setting I'd be okay with that but not a direct sequel, prequel, and most of all, not a remake.
