I mean seriously its the best survival horror ever imo. Instead they review a generic game like halo....

thats why I am happy it is selling so well
The Penumbra series was brilliant, but Amnesia is epically 's*** your pants scary' brilliant.
It's just awesome that the company who produced this game, and nearly went bankrupt have found a new lease of life and a new fanbase on Steam.
Optimistic: Last I heard, GS was short on reviewers. An indie game, even a damn good one like this, probably isn't going to be made a priority.
Pessimistic: The PC tends to get the short end of the stick around here. Too many titles skipped over, and too many reviews copy pasted from the console version. As an indie PC game, it's chances of being reviewed anytime soon seems pretty low.
Its business. More people will hit this site for a Halo review than an Amnesia one. I just found out about this game yesterday actually, love penumbra so hoping it will be good.TheCrazed420
This is why they need to review the game. A positive review on a major site like GS = a significant boost in sales for the game, and as we all no the future of this brilliant company hangs in the balance with this title depending on how well it sells.
As I said before, It's a shame that games like this aren't in the spotlight even though they deserve to be. I wrote a review for it on my blog, but it'd be great to see gamespot write a review for it.
Gamespot staff only care about blockbuster games for the most part. I mean they are a console based site and that is for the most part all console gamers give a **** about.
It's a shame, yes, but what can you do about it? Gamespot hasn't exactly been thebest place for PC reviews as of late anyway. Even a huge title such as Bioshock 2 didn't get reviewed in the PC section.
Meanwhile, I'm still hesitating whether to get this game. I tried the demo, and it's pretty good, but I got stuck after like 15 minutes. Maybe I'm just too dumb for puzzle games such as this.
If they are anything like me, they prob havent got past the prison level :( Dante2710I haven't either, lol. I'm trying to find a hammer or w/e is needed with the chisel in 5 minute intervals of play.

Are yall really that surprised? Gamespot reviews in last few years have been atrocious. Sometimes they review very bad games and miss some great gems and other times is Copy paste reviews on multiplatformers. They do seem to have a ok picture of reviewing what they classify as "blockbuster" titles but its still been very sad how they treat the PC platform nowadays. I have been keeping a list of games many members wished were reviewed on this website if people are curious.
You can find it Here. There are many games on the list from multiplatformer to exclusives to 100% free PC games. It really is a shame that a website that is highly considered as the most viewed video game website, would really drop the ball on the PC platform. At the same time, gamespot is part of CBS and is very business focused. Guess its just nature of the time.
I never read reviews, but the Amnesia demo was scary as **** and I've never felt that way in a game before; so in my head it's definiately worth looking at.

Finally made it through last night, it was long and tough and by the end i had terrible chills going down my spine that lasted for at least an hour after i stopped playing.
I hope there aren't any more levels as oppressive as the Prison/Dungeon parts, it was almost more than i could bear

you know what, I dont care. Reviews really are pointless, most people never even look at them. The media has publishers convinced reviews matter, and try to match their scores to sales success, its all bs though.

Prison is pretty bad, but I'm afraid I found some of the later levels more oppressive you should know when you get there. What is good is that after the Prison they give you a break, go back to puzzles for a while so you don't get mentally drained.I actually think they don´t review free games, just look at how many MMO´s haven´t been reviewed by them.Alien Swarm was not reviewed as well. Well since the game was free, no one actually paid them to do so. That should tell you something about the gamespot review team.

Regarding Amnesia,I seriously hope they review it,they did so with two of the Penumbra games so I don´t know why they wouldn´t.
The lack of Civ V review so far is actually weirder in my opinion.
Thx for the list. What kind of PC review site would u recommend? Are yall really that surprised? Gamespot reviews in last few years have been atrocious. Gamespot doesn't have a lot of resources like IGN or Eurogamer. They have a very low staff, not enough to review every game that comes out in every system on time. Honestly, give them some slack, as they're one of the better gaming publications despite some controversy in its history.
Look on Metacritic and see the reviews for Amnesia. There are only 17.
I have to say I'm also very dissapointed that Gamespot has overlooked Amnesia, easily the most terrifying horror game on the market. Not because I need to see their review score, but because the game and developer could really use the exposure to bolster their sales, most people haven't even heard of the game and big sites ignoring an excellent game like this doesn't help at all.
srry to say but dude every console game is reviewed here ,,, exclusive PC games don't .. even reviews of multi platform 99% the same in all platforms .. there are some exceptions as Dragon age .. GTA IV .. but others are the same (copy and paste reviews in all platforms)Gamespot doesn't have a lot of resources like IGN or Eurogamer.
