Old thread is old.
The iPad would be an AMAZING platform for a game like this. The Hunters series has some good turn based combat, but the depth isn't there. Hard to get a lot of depth in for $5 and unfortunately thats what the app store market demands... time wasters not real games, even though the platform is basically perfect for turn based games.fxnal
No, it wouldn't be. Like I said there wouldn't be an audience for a game such as Fallout on iPad. Those who think there is are delusional and should do a reality check.

Of course there would be. Check out toucharcade, lots of iOS gamers there.Even if they kept the visuals as-is, that would be fine to me. I'm surprised they *haven't* either, it's probably b/c interplay still owns rights to the original, that we haven't seen this on the iPad or other devices yet.
The iPad's touchscreens controls would be perfect and I'd love to buy this game. I have it already but for PC-only...I haven't played the originals only b/c I've been short on time and super lazy about booting into the PC partition of my mac.
then again, they released "Max Payne" on the iPad, so there's still hope that somehow fallout and its sequel will make it there someday too.
clearly, you are mistaken.
There is a whole army of people who would likely buy it now that Fallout 3 was so hugely popular.
It may not be the same type of game, but I still think it would be something the new fans would enjoy.
Ok...what we need to do is find out who owns the rights (Interplay?) and send them a mess of e-mail to get them or somebody else to properly port it.
